:confused3 We are going to Disney Jan 07, we want to rent points for BWV but the Saturday night is 52 points! So we were thinking of checking into an all star that Saturday night then moving over to BWV for the remainder of our stay. We will be flying in and using Magical Express. So my question is how will we get all our luggage from All Star to BWV, since we will not have a car? Thanks for any help!!!

You will contact bell services and they will move you. We are doing this next week (if I go).

We've planned to do this two years in a row, and both times I've ended up getting a BWV studio for the first night instead. (in fact, I just got the studio for 10/6 two days ago!!) We were planning to send the luggage over with bell services and then take the bus to MGM and walk to BWV from there. I would have been ok with that except that we're expecting company that day and it's my daughter's birthday. Our guests are only doing the parks for a couple days, so I didn't want to waste time in the morning with the move. I'm assuming your group is too big for a studio??

We moved stayed at three resorts on our last visit. We used bell services to move over our luggage each time.

FYI:
Tips both ways sure added up (pick up and drop off)
The luggage is transfered in the afternoon and we did not receive it until after 4 pm both times.

We are thinking of moving on our next trip and I am definitely going to just take my luggage (it's just DH and me this time) over to the resort during check in and have Bell Service hold my luggage. This way if we get the room early (hey, one can wish can't they?!) I can just drop off my luggage and be off-- no worries.

Good luck!

We're still on the fence as to using ME or rental car for trip.

I've read posts where DVCers have called bell services then left their room before the bags were picked up...don't you need a claim tag in case something goes missing?

If we do pay the current pricey car rental, we probably would drive over, check in, & have bell services hold the luggage.

Do they wait until you return to deliver the luggage to your assigned room?

When we moved from BCV to OKW last Xmas, they told us that there had been a change in procedure. You had to be there when your luggage was picked up (and they gave you receipts), and you had to be there when the luggage was delivered as well. Not a problem, but it did add a small amount of waiting time on each end.

As the Doctor said you will need to be there and they will tag your luggage, be sure to keep the tags to make sure you get all your pieces, we have had one disappear from the group. I guess a rogue luggage that wanted to go off on his own. ;)

Be sure you do not need anything in the luggage as you will not get it until after 3pm, possibly later. Make plans for that.

Call Bell services and have them come to your room and pick up the luggage, avoid the 10-11am hour as they get very busy. After you check in the next resort, and its after 3pm, call bell services and ask that your luggage be brought to you.

It's easy as long as nothing goes wrong. but it can be time consuming.

We do it a lot with no problems.

I used this summer too. We were at POP for one night and in the AM walked down to the Bell Services desk and handed them our luggage , and got the tags . We took bus from POP to MGM and then went over to Boardwalk and checked in ( Studio was ready and it was only 10am) We went over to Epcot for lunch and fun and when we got back later that afternoon . I called BS and they brought up everything no problem.

I've used it before for OKW to BWV with no problems either.

I love that they do this.

Thanks Bell Services !!

Someone mentioned tips for the Bell Services cast members....what is the usual tip (is it per bag, or per family)? We will be using this service in Dec. Thanks!

We do this all the time to save on weekend points. When we check out of the value resort we take a taxi over to the DVC resort. We bring our luggage with us. We check in to the DVC resort early in the morning, leave our luggage and go to a park! It's easy.
