Moving reservation 1 week earlier

We are booked on the Wonder for August 8th but I am hoping to move the reservation to August 1st.

We booked while onboard last spring so we got the onboard booking discount and some onboard credit. We immediately transferred it to our TA.

For some reason I thought we could switch dates and pay what the cruise cost was back on our original booking day. The search feature is failing me so I'm hoping you guys could help me out.

I'm pretty sure you only pay the original rates if you change rooms on the same cruise. A new date is a new reservation with pricing based on the date of the new reservation. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct, you are only locked into the prices that were in effect the day you made the booking, if you stay on the same cruise. If you change cruise dates, it's essentially a cancellation and rebooking. And you will pay the prevailing rate.

Since it's an OBB, you'll retain the discount and OBC and reduced deposit (if 7+ nights). Assuming it is not a blacked out date. But the cruise fare will be based on the prevailing rates (and then discount taken).

If you change stateroom categories on the same cruise, you'll pay the rates from when you originally booked.
