Moving Mid-year & Back to School Shopping

My DH starts Kindergarten this year but we will be moving to another county during winter break. So, she will start in a new school in January. Should I double her purchases during back to school so she can have the items for her new school too? Should I try to contact the new school and get their list as well? I would rather buy the items now when they are on sale than in January when crayons alone will be $2.

My guess is that in Kindergarten, all of their supplies are pooled, so she wouldn't be "missing" anything. I would google the new school and check their website. Our schools have their supply lists on-line. If you wanted to pick up some of the things on the list and give them to the teacher when you arrive mid-year, I am sure the items would be appreciated.

As a Kindergarten teacher, I would say YES!!!!!! By mid-year the supplies are starting to run low. Also by set for at home to complete homework.

Thanks for the advice! I looked up her list at the other school and just added the items to my shopping list. If she doesn't need some of it then I can just hold on to it until the following year. I will also get some for our house. Can't have too many crayons here as they seem to disappear in no time.
