Moving luggage from one hotel to another?

We added a night to our week long DVC stay at BWV and are now going to be spending our first night at the Animal Kingdom (seeing if we might want points there). Can anyone speak from experience whether it will be possible for us to get bell services to move our luggage from AKL to BWV? With appropriate tipping of course. I had read on here that we could, but when I booked with AKL, they said I would have to check with bell services when I got there, that it would depend on how busy they are. Anyone ever had them do this? Was it a problem to get them to? And were there any issues with your luggage actually being at your new resort when you got there later that day? Thanks for any help, only 2 more days!!!!

Yes you can have bell services move your luggage for you. We called bell services the day before we were to change resorts and set up a time for them to pick up our luggage in our room. We tipped them and then they put our luggage in a holding area at the hotel we currently were at. Then later that day, they transfered it all over to the new resort and the new resort delivered it to our room for us. They will also do this for any groceries you may have with you.

It worked out great to have them do all of this for us, because we then hopped a bus to the new resort and checked us in and then went to the parks. When we got back our luggage was already in our room for us.

Just make a call to bell services and set it up ahead of time. They seemed more than happy to help us out.

We did it too when I switched half way through 10 day stay from SSR to WLV. They picked up our luggage when we called @ 9:00 AM - we went to EPCOT for the day. Went home the WLV that evening and the luggage was in our studio. Gotta love Disney!!!!

We did it too!!! Were on the WDW and got further than we planned from Michigan so we called BWV's to see if we could get in a day earlier. They had no rooms so we asked if there were any rooms available anywhere else and they said AKL.This resort was fairly new so we booked and had a wonderful 1 night stay. Checked out in the morning and arranged for our luggage to be delivered to BWV's. Since your never sure when you will get a room at DVC they held onto it until we actually had that room. Worked like a charm.

I' not sure who you spoke to and said "it depends" but they are wrong. It is NO PROBLEM. You bring your bags to Bell Services in the morning (or they pick them up). They take the info and deliver it to your room. They will do this between any disney hotels, DVC or not. (Pop Century to BWV is OK as is BCV to VWL). Two things to know-
1. The bags can get to your new resort as late as 3PM.
2. I don't think that they will deliver the bags to your new room if you're not there. When you arrive, call or go to the Bell Services desk and you can pick up your bags or have them delivered.
Don't worry.

Yes, it works magically between all the on-site Disney resorts (even Swan and Dolphin).
