Moving from VWL to OKW

I don't like moving. Before this upcoming trip, we always stayed at OKW for our entire stay. This time we will be in a 2BR at VWL for a week and then OKW in a GV for the last five days. How do we make the move? Do we have to do it ourselves?

No you don't have to do it yourself. When you are ready to leave, explain to bell servcies that you need your things picked up at a certain time and shipped to OKW. (I like to talk to them about the move at check in and then follow up a day ahead of departure just to make sure all is well with the move. You don't have to do that though). Bell Services will come pick up your things, you can head to a park of whatever you were planning to do, then when you make your way back to OKW, your things should be there ready for you to check in. While I have never had things moved to OKW, I am assuming that it is the same as sending your belongings to the other DVC resorts.

Have a great time. We have always moved when staying as long as you are and we really enjoy the change. Enjoy that Grand Villa.

Just pack your bags and call bell services they will pick it up for yuou and tranmsfer it to your new resort and put it in your room for you if you happen to be out it is really that easy.

On evening before checkout, call Bell services and ask them to pick up your luggage the next morning for a transfer to OKW. They come in the AM to pick it up, confirm the destination. Go have fun. Check in to OKW later in the day. Tell them your luggage is being transferred from VWL. It should arrive by 4:00 pm.

We tip bell services on each end a bit more than we might otherwise as they are doing a greater service for us. We have done this several times with no problems.

Transfer your luggage via Bell Services. They'll also take food items and refrigerate them, but if you have a cooler to pack them in, it would probably make everyone's life easier. If you're flying, buy one of those cheap styrofoam coolers at the grocery store when you go shopping.

Disney makes it easy to move, and I like to move because it make it seem like 2 vacations!
