For those of you who split your stay between resorts, kudos to you. I don't think I have the patience to ever do this again. We are extending our stay by one night. My sister and I will be arriving one night early. It was either get there late a night earlier or not get there until the middle of the next day.

We are staying at All Star Movies for one night and then moving to Saratoga Springs. We don't arrive until 10:59 at MCO. I really want to use Magical Express because I don't want to deal with my luggage. I like them doing it. However, I also don't want them to deliver it to my room. I'll check directly with the resort.

Are we responsible for moving our luggage to Saratoga Springs, regardless of where it is during the night? If I take it to the room or if I see if they will hold it over night in baggage storage, doesn't affect the fact that I will need to move our luggage to Saratoga Springs. I thought that Disney would move our luggage for us? The woman I just spoke to told me that most people hire a taxi to move them to a different resort. can someone please help?

From your explanation, it sounds like you will have all your overnight things with you in your carry-on, and you won't need the rest of your luggage until you check-in the next day at SSR? If that is correct, I would call ME and ask if they could send you luggage stickers for SSR, and have the bags sent directly there. They will store them for you automatically, and then you request them from Bell Services when you check in at SSR.

We can have overnight bags if it makes it easier.

I would definitely do that. I don't know about you but if I'm getting into an airport at 11:00 PM and probably won't be at my resort until 1:00 AM, the last thing I want to do is deal with luggage of any kind. If you packed just one bag with your nighttime stuff and a change of clothes for the next day, you will be set. Just be careful with the liquids and gel in your carryon. Actually, if it were me, I'd pack everything I would need in my checked baggage and take only the absolute necessities (contact solution) in approved containers. For toothpaste, I'd just go to the resort gift shop in the morning and get a tube and then use that for the rest of the trip. A couple more $$ but so much easier.

And I don't know what the woman was thinking when she told you most people jsut take taxis. Maybe she meant "most people who don't read the DIS boards" take taxis. Everyone here just has the resort do the luggage switch for them.
