Moving from on-site to off-site hotel

I'm not sure where to post this, but if we have a current reservation staying onsite with a room only reservation and are within our 30-days of arrival (already have FP+ selections) and decide to change to stay off-site for free with points instead, do our FP+ selections get deleted when we cancel WDW hotel and have to start over selecting them?

No, as long as you have tickets linked in your MDE account, your FP+ won't go away.

Any suggestions on if they do go away? Would we be able to call MDE support to have them reinstated?
