Moving back to the moderate camp!!!!

Recently back from our first stay at BWI and our first concierge stay. Everything was wonderful, except for one thing. I kept missing the moderates. Our last three stays have been deluxe and YC remains my favorite. We rented a pontoon at DTD and went all the way to POR. It seemed so peaceful along the river. I was longing for POFQ!!!! I love the spread-outness, the outdoor corridors, the food court, the closer parking, the BUSES...
I posted this on another thread, but now that I am about to start working again and will have the money to stay wherever I want, I really want to go back to the mods. Am I crazy????

I don't think your crazy. We have at the Poly, WL, AKL and CR and then at CSR and POFQ...after mutiple stays at CSR it has become our resort of choice for all the reasons you stated. Then of course........... maybe we are both crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think you are crazy either. We've been to the CR, YC, BC, BW, OKW, SS and POFQ. Of them all, I'm sitting here homesick for POFQ. I didn't know a person could be homesick for a resort.

I'm planning a Christmas trip for 2006 and *really* want to stay at WL, until I think about POFQ. Something tells me I'll be hugging the Alligator Band this time next year.

Of course, you're not crazy. The beauty of WDW is that there are options for everyones' taste and preferences. Enjoy the mods and spent the extra money on more/longer trips!

Have already booked my trip for next November-December and am splitting my stay between Port Orleans French Quarter & the Wilderness Lodge. I have not stayed at POFQ in a few years and really miss it. This way I get the best of both worlds. Am also planning my May 2007 trip and am staying at the French Quarter. I love staying at the Wilderness Lodge and the French Quarter is my absolute favorite moderate. Have stayed at POR & CBR and did not care for either. I like that the French Quarter is small in size (like the WL), so it's easy to get every where.
