Has anyone seen this show? If so, where did you see it? Growing up on Long Island made me a huge Billy Joel fan. I just have not heard any reviews of this show. I am thinking about a trip to NYC in July and buying my sister tickets for her birhtday.

I saw it in Boston last month, and thought it was very good. It was neat the way they took a whole bunch of Billy Joel songs, and told a story with them. The band and singer we saw were fantastic.

I wasn't overly thrilled by the dancing on it. I thought the dancing didn't quite fit the music. Twyla Tharp choreographed it, and she has a more classical ballet style, and to me, it just didn't fit with the music. The last few songs had a more modern feel to them, so I enjoyed those much better.

Overall, it is a good show, and a lot of fun. It's a great concept, but I think it would have been better if a more modern choreographer did it.

I saw it opening night in Pittsburgh (Tuesday). The music was good, and the story line was too, but unless you had read the acts ahead of time, it would have been hard to follow.. However, my only complain (and this was our entire group's feelings) was that they dancers never sang. The commericals for it on televistion make it look like they are going to sing, so that confused us.

I saw it on Broadway last year. The dancers were phenomenal and the singer sounded quite a bit like Billy Joel. I personally don't care for Twyla Tharp's choreography, but the dancers were so talented that I was entertained anyway. It's well done and if you enjoy musicals (although the dancers never seen) and if you *really* like Billy Joel's music, you'll have a good time.

I haven't seen it but 1 of my good friends is 1 of the lead male dancers in NYC!!! He's been in it since the beginning!

I saw it last summer in NYC (2 days after the blackout) and I liked it. It took me awhile to get into the format and I liked the 2nd act better. Be prepared though for some darker themes (Vietnam War.
