Movin' On Up - First time in a 2 Bedroom

We had a 1 Bedroom at SSR booked for this coming October. My sister called last week and said she would like to go to WDW with us this year.

I called Member Services around 2:00 today - no wait time at all, got right through to a rep.

I said I wanted to change our reservation to a 2 bedroom, and checked if Standard View at BWV's was available (only 178 pts), as I figured the kids would love that. Nothing.... I checked on OKW (176 pts), and no problem getting a 2 Bedroom. So, the nicest thing is that it was only 24 additional points to go from a 1 BR at SSR (152 pts) to a 2 BR at OKW (176). Not Bad...

So - we are now making our second trip to OKW, and our first in a 2 Bedroom Villa. We are pretty excited, as we were blown away by the difference from a studio to a 1 Bedroom. Add-Onitis may hit us after this trip.

Maybe it will impress my sister enough to join us in DVC????

We are doing our first ever DVC stay in a 2 bedroom, I hope it will not be to hard to go back to a 1bedroom next trip.

We've gotten two bedroom villas at OKW when we brought along family or friends. But with just the three of us, a one bedroom at OKW is more than enough.

Usually it is just my wife, daughter, and myself, and the one bedroom is more than enough. I must admit that I am excited about trying the two bedroom, and for only 24 more points for the week - you can't really beat it.

They wont be with us the last two days, but we didnt feel like moving, so we will keep the two bedroom. I am looking forward to it, the only thing I am a little bummed about is nothing available at BWV's (Standard view was only 178), and I was looking forward to staying at our home SSR. No biggie.

You'll LOVE the 2 bd. at OKW. Ice maker in the fridge. Large rooms. Tons of room everywhere. Big laundry room. Huge balcony. They're bigger than our first house. Did I mention they're big?

Its amazing the difference in points between the studio and 1 bedroom is about double, But than to a 2 bedroom is not so much more

Emjou the 2 br. I love OKW. The rooms are huge! Great resort, relaxed feel. Be sure to go to the Gurgling Suitcase!

As Deb & Bill stated, we thought it was worth the move to OKW to save an additional 24 pts.

Our original stay was a 1 BR at SSR = 152pts.

With family joining, we wanted a 2 BR
SSR 2BR = 200 pts
OKW 2BR = 176 pts.

We just stayed at OKW in Feb. We liked the resort, although I will miss going to our home at SSR. I will be sure to hit the Gurgling Suitcase, and get an order of Olivia's potatoes!!! mmmmmmmm

We invited my parents and brother to stay with us in a 2 bedroom at SSR during our March trip. It was wonderful being together with lots of room to spare. My mom and dad liked dvc so much, they went home and picked out a contract at the TSS.

You'll love the 2 BRs at OKW! My sisters and I had one last October and it was awesome! There is just so much space!

I have been fortunate enough to stay in a two bedroom at OKW twice. It was wonderful both times. They are huge, I think I could probably do a cartwheel in that second bedroom. The second bedroom is actually a lot nicer than most hotel rooms.

You will absolutley love the 2 bedroom at OKW. We brought my inlaws with us last time and they were awed by it. It is bigger then thier home. Be forwarned though you will be disapointed now with the 2 bedrooms at the other dvc resorts they will seem small.

Yup...2BR at OKW is great. 5 of us recently stayed there...we had visitors for the last night...totally comfortable with 7 of us in the room! ENJOY

Thanks everyone -we are really looking forward to the trip. Our trips to WDW have always been the wife and myself, and once we had our daughter just the three of us. It will be nice to spend time, and be able to host our family in such nice accomodations.
