We'll be sailing on the Wish and I thought we should try gearing our family movie nights to shows/movies we'll see represented on the Wish. I have the following list so far and most of these we don't really need to watch again. Can I get help with more? Especially any more obscure ones?

Frozen 1 & 2 (Arendelle restaurant)
Marvel movies - in order up through at least Ant Man & the Wasp?? (Sorry, not really familiar with these!) (Marvel Restaurant)
Rapunzel (back of ship)
Inside Out (Joyful Sweets Candy shop)
Princess and the Frog (The Bayou lounge)
Star Wars (Hyperspace Lounge)( & kids club?)
Beauty & the Beast (The Rose lounge and Enchante)
Cinderella (statue & misc. decor)
Little Mermaid (stage show)
Aladdin (stage show?)
Mickey shorts (Aqua Mouse and Festival of Foods, etc.)
Peter Pan (Hook's Barbery)
Luna (stage area)

I'm not sailing on the Wish until this summer, but, as you might be able to guess from my username, I'm SUPER into the MCU, and, just because of how big the universe is at this point (my last full--shows AND movies--universe rewatch took over a month), I'd suggest a more targeted pre-cruise watchlist.

The most barebones/focused watchlist I'd suggest is The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron (my least favorite Avengers movie, but the in-universe origin of some elements of the Quantum Encounter experience), Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp (the 2018 movie, not the one that just came out), Avengers: Infinity War (this will introduce Black Panther and Wakanda in the event that you don't choose to watch the Black Panther movie), Captain Marvel, and Avengers: Endgame (this sets up Sam Wilson/Falcon becoming the new Captain America). If you want to add on to that list a bit, my top choices would be The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (which is a six-episode show, not a movie), as it takes places after Endgame and shows Sam becoming Captain America, and Ms. Marvel (also a show, rather than a movie). Currently the only place where Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel has appeared.

If you discover that you're actually enjoying your time in the MCU or just want to fill a few more pre-cruise spots in the watchlist, I'd suggest Doctor Strange (he appears in Infinity War and Endgame, but his solo movie explains his whole deal a bit more), Iron Man (where the MCU began), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Sam Wilson's MCU debut and an all-around fantastic movie), Guardians of the Galaxy (introduces the cosmic side of the MCU), Captain America: Civil War (Black Panther's first appearance + the reason the Avengers are semi-broken up at the start of Infinity War), and Black Panther.

There’s Wishing Star Cafe, which has an elaborate mural and details that are Pinocchio themed!

Wow, thank you!! I had no idea there were so many. Unfortunately, I don't think we're going to have enough time to watch very many at all before our cruise. Can you tell me the very minimum we could watch to understand what is happening in the Marvel restaurant? Is that the whole barebones watchlist you suggested above? The only thing we've seen so far is Captain America! (Which we did enjoy!)

Your list is good. Yes, the kids club has Star Wars as well. Also an Aladdin stage show. I thought of a couple more after talking with my husband:

Peter Pan (Never Land Theater)
Alice in Wonderland (Wonderland Theater)
Sword in the Stone (Enchanted Sword Cafe)
Partysaurus Rex Short (Slide-o-saurus Rex)
Toy Story(s) (Wheezy’s Freezies, Toy Story Splash Pad, Trixie’s Falls)

As far as Worlds of Marvel, I think you can get a general idea just from Ant Man and the Wasp that will allow you to “get it”, but more is better in my opinion when it’s Marvel!

Oh no problem! These three movies would be my top priority (they're listed in order):
  • Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018). This will introduce you to Scott/Ant-Man and Hope/Wasp. Neither is in Infinity War and Hope doesn't have much screentime in Endgame, so this is your best option for getting introduced to them.
  • Avengers: Infinity War/Avengers: Endgame. This is the big culmination of the Infinity Saga (the first decade of MCU storytelling) and it has basically everyone (although not all characters get much screentime). If you're REALLY pressed for time, you could just watch an Infinity War recap video (there are many on YouTube) and go straight into Endgame, but the experience will be much better and probably less overwhelming if you can do both in full. If Ant-Man and the Wasp and Infinity War/Endgame are all you have time for, you'll probably be fine/get most things.
And if you have a bit more time, I'd choose between these two:
  • Captain Marvel. Carol/Captain Marvel is only in Endgame for a few minutes, so this will give you a bit more time to meet her character.
  • Avengers: Age of Ultron. Not my favorite Avengers movie, but some plot elements figure into Worlds of Marvel.
