I'm trying to make a list of all the movies that are featured in The Great Movie Ride because my fiance and I thought it would be fun to watch them all before heading to MGM. So rar we have:

Mary Poppins
The Wizard of Oz
Casablanca
Tarzan
Singin’ In the Rain
Alien
Raiders of the Lost Ark

Can anyone add to this list no matter how small a clip/mention is used in the attraction? Thank you.

Ali

Footlight parade
I think the James Cagney scene is from Angels with Dirty Faces
Fantasia

Are you looking for just the movie or the montage at the end too? Now that would be a task

And there's a scene with John Wayne on a horse (sorry don't know exactly which movie)

There's an Esther Williams swim/water ballet thing, too -- no idea what movie.

The Searchers would be the scene with John Wayne I believe.

The gangster scene is from The Public Enemy starring James Cagney.
The finale showed scenes from Goodmorning Viet Nam, The Terminator, Funny Girl (Barbara Streisand saying "Hello gorgeous!") LOL........and my all time favorite quip "Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy night!" from the movie All About Eve.

:teeth:

The "Esther Williams swimsuit" bit is from Gold Diggers of 1933. It's depicting the Busby Berkley coreographed (sic?) number "By a Waterfall".
I'm fairly sure the John Wayne bit is from "The Searchers"...

Clint Eastwood is in the same area as John Wayne in a Western; maybe High Plains Drifter?

Both I guess. I know it's a hard task but I'll try to get as many as possible. Thank you all for your help. If you can think of any more, please let me know.

I dont think we can narrow it down from that haha ;)

I think that the Clint Eastwood tableau is from "A Fist Full of Dollars" -- isn't he wearing the poncho? High Plains Drifter came much later, and he didn't wear a poncho in that one; he wore a long leather coat.

If that is the movie they show in the queue line, I believe that is Footlight Parade.

Actually, to the op, I have a sound file of the whole Movie Ride, I can send it to you if you like, either PM me, or email me at countryfanjules@porchlight.ca, and I'd be glad to share!! That goes to anyone who is interested!!
