OK, I'm not a teen...but I would love to see the end of White Christmas.

... shouldn't they be DISNEY movies?

it makes me sick to my stomach to think of any of those standing next to casablanca or the wizard of oz, to be honest. there are many movies who could fit that place, but none of them are in the poll.

i like it the way it is but if i had to pick lord of the rings i would never go on it agian if again if twilight was in it

most of the movies on there don't really seem like they'd fit in the GMR.
GMR is all MGM/disney-owned movies no? so I'd say POTC out of that list. it'd probably be the best/most fitting addition. :thumbsup2

(my opinion)
not really look at the poll i have TITANIC, let me say it one more time TITANIC. One of the most money making and well done film in our history of film making.

Ok picture your self on the great movie ride with a 6 year old boy and a 9 year old girl (reminder, disney main goal is to entertain kids) and then you pass the casablanca part of the ride. It is really hard to believe the two kids are going to be standing up and screaming "OMG it is Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, this was the best part of our $500 vacation after the ride forget watching the fireworks let go the Hall of president!!!!!!!"

The great movie ride needs a major update no question and they need to put in films that are at lest from this past decade. I am not saying to get rid of all the classic films but at lest have two films that a six and nine year old can relate some what relate to. I really hate twilght and transformers but I would rather see a movie that i hate, that has a large popularity and might be remembered in ten years from now then some of the films that not even my 60 year old dad knows about. You know you need an update when a 50 year does not even know the film they are showing.
Please if anyone thinks of a film that came out the passed decade that needs to be on that poll tell me.

all pixar films are disney and POTC is disney.

REMINDER: I HATE TWILIGHT and don't think transformers should be in the running at all i am just seeing what you are going to vote for

Yeah I'd have to agree with you for the most part....but I do think that Titanic would look cool if they had the boat tipped and some animatronics "hanging on" to stuff.

The movie that I would like to see in the great movie ride is Toy Story, a scene of Andy's bedroom.

Titanic.

Just so everyone knows, Saving Private Ryan didn't win best picture. It did win best director.

I'm an award show freak.

And no way should TWILIGHT be put in. No way no how.

That'd be awesome. :D

I would want to see a Davy Jones animatronic. :scared1:

I think they should have the "flying scene". I was really surprised Titanic wasn't on there since it is the biggest movie of all time and won 11 Academy Awards.

I also think Pirates of the Caribbean should be on it as well. Captain Jack is a brilliant character, even though I don't care so much for the movies because they make no sense to me.

They should put in:

Captain Jack Sparrow and his Black Pearl.

Titanic with Jack and Rose on the bow of the boat.

As far as having them be MGM films, I don't think that it is a prerequisite any more as the theme park is no longer called MGM, but instead Disney Hollywood Studios.

I think that the Great Movie Ride needs a major upgrade to go with the times. Keep a few of the classics, but there are empty spots that could be filled.

The end sequence with all of the films needs to be updated as well.

I think most of those are awful fits for the GMR. I could see POTC or the Titanic, though.

I think the GMR is great as it is. It is a great history of movies that most younger children would have possibly heard of, but not seen. Plus the movies there (except Alien) all kinda seem to fit the theme of the theater that it is in.

If I had to pick a movie I'd say the Sound of Music fits, even though Julie Andrews is already in the GMR. The Sound of Music is a classic and I feel that it will be around for many more years.

If it has to be Disney-Owned I'd say either the Santa Clause or Rodger Rabbit. I heard somewhere that they might be trying to ressurect Rodger, and this would be a good way to put him in the parks. Maybe a scene from Who Framed Rodger Rabbit or a scene from the Rodger Rabbit and baby Herman short?

The Santa Clause would be good because it is a Disney movie series that has been rather sucessful. They could show the scene where the santa falls off the roof and Tim Allen's character would be putting on the santa suit in the sleigh. Then it would go to a North Pole scene or something like that.

I think we already have the pirates withi Pirates of the Caribbean ride at the MK.
