I'm looking for something to do on our Sat. blackout day while we are there. Garden Walk has a movie theater that offers an adult screening room where they show reg. movies but the seats are supposed to be nicer and they serve drinks. We still haven't seen UP so maybe we could do that. Has anyone been to this place? Did you like it? We would do an afternoon show.

I'm curious too! We'll be in the area when the Harry Potter movie comes out and were thinking of watching it in Downtown Disney. I wonder if the prices are the same. I went online to the Gardenwalk site and found that it has an IMAX screen. Wonder if those cost extra. I didn't quite understand their "screening room" blurb on their site. Any info, any one?

Well, the site says matinees are $7 for the reg. theater and $11 for IMAX.

Has no one been there?

I suppose we could also save shopping at DTD for Sat, and go to the theater there. I didn't think about that.

Maybe you should go to the theater at Garden Walk so you can report back about it since it doesn't seem like anyone has been there. That's interesting about the adult screening room. I would be interested in knowing more about that since it's not something most theaters have.

The 21 Plus Screening Room is a theater that seats fewer people
because the seats are larger. The consession stand serves beer
and wine. They stagger the movies so be sure to check for
showtimes. For example “Up” is only showing in the evening -
10PM.

The tickets are more expensive than general admission.

I’ve been there and I reeally like it.

Thanks! I don't want to stay "UP" that late. :lmao: We have to get up bright and early Sun morning to get back to DLR. We would have to see a matinee.

IMAX movies are more $$ but they look really good!!!! IMAX is our favorite now, can't wait for Transformers next week! woo hoo!!!!

I think your sis is right Budgie, go and report back. I think the beer & wine is really neat!!!

Yes, I've been there. Saw "Pelham 123" in the 21+ theater and it was very nice. Amazingly they carded me when I was purchasing tickets - that hasn't happened to me in more than 20 years - maybe they've been burned and don't want to risk losing their alcohol license.
