Has anybody else watched this?

I went into this one without knowing any of the backstory etc. I just saw it come across the screen on Netflix yesterday. I saw that the cast had cool people in it, and was like maybe I should watch this. I was hesitant to click because of how long it was, but discovered that there was not a dull moment in the 2+ hours. I will say that this movie absolutely terrified me

I will say for sure that the ending made me angry.... and we TOTALLY could have lived without that scene with the teeth!

I expected a better ending too. The scene with the electric cars was interesting.

I kept waiting/hoping for some action. I wanted to see the whole cast wiped out. Lol.

Like most Netflix movies, the premise sounds good, the acting is decent, but it was just missing something. I wasn't scared at all, there wasn't much suspense, and it was too long. A really bland movie. There was no reason to really care about any of the characters, and there wasn't enough suspense to hold my interest either. The scene with the oil tanker was kind of cool, though; quite the "what if" scenario!

It was awful. Shot like a freaking student film. Julia Robert's "Karen-esque" character was so wholly unlikeable. No rhyme, reason or explanations. And the "tension" music was hysterical. Just A 2 hour waste of time.

I did like a lot of it. The creeping horror of not knowing feels timely. Digging into the rifts and thoughts of the characters was interesting after thinking about my reactions. Did anyone who watch it feel themselves questioning the truth of who the father and daughter were? Did you believe him right away? The scene with the Spanish woman was wrenching..would you have just driven off? I would not have. The ending to me spoke of how we all need something to focus on when the world around us is chaos. Things I thought were dumb were the deer..I didn't get it. And the plane crash on an island? Like everyone would not have heard that? Felt it?

I thought that was going to be a dream..I'm trying to find out if that could really happen. I thought the end was about finding comfort during chaos. It is obvious that they are all going to end up there and will be ok for awhile at least. I wonder if they will do another or if the uncertainty is the whole point.

A preachy snooze of a movie taking itself too seriously. There were apparently a lot of metaphoric moments that us low-brow plebes just didn't get. According to the plot summary I googled, that lady was supposed to be representing the entire world of disadvantaged people-groups who are abused, exploited and ignored by their privileged oppressors, and how they will "suffer first and worst" when it all goes down . Likewise, the deer were supposed to be harbingers of environmental catastrophe. OK.

2 1/2 hours out of my life I won't get back. I kept waiting for a "payoff". Never got it. Interesting premise, decent actors, just no "payoff". I disagree with @Beezle2, I don't think you could assume the characters were all going to end up in the safe room.

The movie had a very,very thought-provoking and interesting premise, loved the idea behind it. But the dialogue, and especially the direction and cinematography were just awful to me. I don't understand why scenes were shot like that, I found it very annoying, and distracting enough to not like the movie at all, But I generally enjoy apocalyptic things like that.

Sorta like the last one of these I shouldn't have bothered watching - Us. What a gong show...
