Movie: Inglorious Basterds

As a percentage of the total length of the movie, the amount of violence shown was very minimal (in my opinion). So in describing the movie I wouldn't say it was a violent movie.

Oh. Hmmm. I guess I am the type who can sit through something like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (first movie that popped into my head, but probably not a good example) and not consider it that violent because although there is a lot of shooting, it is quick and not graphic. But the stuff they showed in GB albeit not as often, was so awful I could not even look at the screen. To each his own! Thanks.:thumbsup2

In your opinion what was so graphic? The only think I found to be over the top were the scalpings. My wife and I were eating dinner as we watched the first scalping.

Compared to Kill Bill (first volume), the violence was relatively low over the course of the movie.

Scalpings. Nuff said.:thumbsup2

Couldn't watch that one either. I know. I'm a wimp.:sad2:

Could you watch Private Ryan?

Saving Private Ryan is a tough one. While I appreciate the story, the action, the acting (except Hanks, I am the only one in the world who does not like him as an actor), after the first viewing, I could not watch it again. I did shut my eyes at the gory parts. Heck, even as a medical person (lab) when watching the gory medical shows I shut my eyes at that stuff too!

But a movie like Grand Torino, with mild violence, I loved. I don't think I turned my head once during that movie.

I guess I am just not a fan of gore.

But it has been interesting talking about movies with you. :)
