Moved from DVC-Planning: What are the true blackout dates for DDE?

I've seen various dates given in regards to this. One post mentioned the only blackout date was Christmas Day. Another post mentioned the first few days in Jan. were also blackout days. One site says blackout days are Christmas Eve and Day and New Year's Eve and Day.

I'm trying to determine which will be better for us when we go down Dec. 20 - Jan 3....the DDP or DDE. If many of those are blackout days for DDE, we'll plan on getting the DDP.

I am interested also. We are in the process of booking a trip during the end of December/beginning of January. This could really effect us.

Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, New Years Day and New Years Eve are all blacked out. We were there a year ago that time and were not allowed to use it.

From the Passholder website:

Disney Dining Experience members will receive complimentary parking at all Walt Disney World® Resort Theme Parks after 5:00 p.m. daily by showing their membership card. Theme park admission is required for dining in all Theme Park restaurant locations. Blackout dates for the Disney Dining Experience are Mothers Day, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
