My dh and I are hoping to move to the St. Augustine area of Florida. We will have our daughter in school at that time (she will be a 7th grader). We would like to send her to a public school, but only if it is exceptional. If not, we are open to private schools, but not one with a heavy religious component.

We have so many questions. If any of you live in that area and are inclined to answer a few, we'd appreciate it!

1. Which middle and high schools are the top-performing and the safest (generally speaking)?

2. Is crime an issue?

3. What are you opinions of the following neighborhoods: Palencia, Kensington and March Creek Country Club?

4. What are the best and worst things about living in the St. Augustine area?

And, finally - if there was any other location along either coast in Florida where you could live, what would it be?

Thank you so, so much!!!

Double bump! Any opinions or help from any of you would be greatly appreciated!!:cheer2:

I can't help with your questions but I figured I would give you a bump. My sister lives in St. Augustine and loves it.

I've never lived in St. Augustine, only visited, but it's a beautiful place. I'd love to live just about anywhere in Florida. Keep in mind that St. Augustine is a college town.
