I have always been a die-hard Croc fan. I was on the Croc boat long before it was hip...loved them...like walking on air! I own four pairs!

We recently went on a trip to Hawaii and I bought a pair of Keen sandals because I was concerned that Crocs would be slippery for real hiking. I have to say, I moved over to the Keen Fan Club!! These sandals don't slip! They are comfortable, there is good toe protection, they are wet/dry! Did I mention how comfortbale they are....no blisters....lots of support....great tread!

I'm still keeping my Crocs for the pool and beach (and for quick slip on the way out the door convenience), but for treking through the parks--I've moved on to Keens!

P.S. They are a bit pricier than Crocs...but oh, so worth it!

We're a Keen family, too! :Pinkbounc Each of us has a couple pairs. They're kind of expensive (from my tightwad perspective) but it is money well-spent. Glad you've seen the light!

I love my keens, too, but my feet sweat in them terribly. That's my only complaint. I have yet to find the perfect summer shoe for me!

I have been wanting to try those but, they are hard to find in a store locally. I would just buy them online but, I am afraid they may not be comfortable as I have a very high instep.

I just tried a pair on at TJMaxx. I wasn't quite sure about the toe protection. Look a little goofy to me. But they looked better than the crocs.
Is the toe guard just something I have to get past?? Thanks

PS THey were on Clearance for $10.00.

I thought the toe-guard was weird...but after kicking up a lot of lava on a volcano hike, I really appreciated it! It really did protect my feet and DH was suffering in his Teva like sandals. My feet didn't really sweat (and they do in Crocs), but I also bought the Venice style...which is pretty open on the sides. I ordered mine from Zappos.com. They have free shipping, even for returns (I'm pretty sure).

I think the toe guards are kind of cute! :goodvibes

Plus, they have saved my toes when standing in line at WDW. Some folks have no sense of personal space and will back up over my feet. No worries w/ the toe guards!

Well I bought them. Yes them. THey had 2 pair in my size on clearence at TJMaxx for $10. WHat a bargain. I will let you know how they hold up at WDW. We leave in 2 days!!!!!! :cool1:

I even wore the on the plane. They are a walking sandal....they give a lot of support, but I don't wear them around the house. More convenient to toss on the Crocs (or just not to wear shoes).

I am very interested in the new croc/keen.........so I checked out the website, which style is everyone talking about......the venice is my guess just wondering... :confused3

I am a total crocs freak.. think have them in all colors! But for work.. I love my Keen shoes Zermatt and for my jean day you gotta have Seattle! So yup I agree there's comfort level in both brands and love them both! :thumbsup2

Zappos has them. I have 3 pair - Newport H2 (which are great for WDW), and then a pair of clogs and mary janes. I like my Keen's a lot, but I do get blisters on my heels from them sometimes.

I just can't bring myself to use the words "crocs" and "hip" in the same sentence. :lmao:
