Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

Oh, that's weird...Mary posted right as I did, and I mentioned her in my post!!
Are your ears burning, Mary?? :)

Does anyone know i fi will have to cancel my ressies and book new ones to get the deal???? :confused3

And if this is this... (buy 4 nights, get 3 Free)...it's the same as getting 40% off the room...and for the tickets...you save about $20 per person...

It's still a "deal" but if this is it, we've seen better....UNLESS, the Free dining is offered as well...

Now that would be a deal. I can't wait to get home tonight to check this site.

Here is a copy of my Instant Message discussion with a CM when I was on the Disney site running numbers.

Thank you for contacting Disney. Please hold while we route your chat to a Disney Cast Member who will help you with your question.
Chat InformationWelcome to Disney! My name is Dudley. How may I help you today?

you: I'm just running some numbers on a vacation since I've heard of a "huge" offer coming out today with pay for 4 nights get 3 nights free. Do you know anything about it?

Dudley: Good afternoon! I will be happy to help you with that!

Dudley: Promotional offers are always different and not guaranteed. I would recommend booking your vacation as soon as you can to make sure you get your first choice for the dates and resort. If promotions are released later on, you may be able to modify your reservation to include any special offer, depending on resort availability.

Dudley: Well, things change around here minute to mintue.

you: We were planning a vacation in November, but with the news of this offer we weren't sure if we might change the dates during the offer time.

Dudley: I understand what you are saying. What have you heard thus far?

you: I've heard there will be an offer coming out this afternoon for a package deal of pay for 4 nights and you get 3 nights free. That would be room and park tickets.

you: It's all over some of the popular Disney Vacation boards.

Dudley: I can not conform that I am sorry. Discounts are never guaranteed, however, if a special offer is released that includes the dates of your stay, you can contact the Disney Reservation Center at 407-560-CHAT (2428) and they can see if the discount can be applied.

you: Great! Thanks for you help. I think I'm done running my numbers. I guess I'll have to wait until 5 pm that's the reported release time.

Am I doing my math wrong, because I am missing how this is a huge deal. It seems kind of mediocre to me. I am trying to get all excited like you guys are! :lmao:

So I priced out my family of 5 for POR for March 10-14 (to figure out what the price is). With standard view, basic tickets, this is $1964. Subtract the $200 gift card, so $1764 ultimately. Add dining, we are looking at $2416 (or more, that's pricing only 4 days of dining..) ultimately $2216 after the gift card.

We went in August, using the free dining promo..our package was $2100. So this new promo, this HUGE deal, is actually $100 more, at least.

Am I missing something? This isn't really that great of a deal unless you were going anyway, not a reason to book a trip especially because of this deal.

I think if you go for 7 nights it will be a much better deal. You might not be able to take full advantage.

Well...if I come over to all your houses...we'd have to fight over the phone at 5pm!!! :lmao:

Ha ha Thats what i told BF He will not be able to use phone either of them as i will have both tied up trying to call LOL One phone on each ear!!!!! And about the snack comment.. CONGRATULATIONS :cheer2: :cheer2: becasue now you have mentioned it im still not wirking due to the ract i must get up and run to the break room get food, and run back only to click REFRESH one more time!!!! :headache: I have it bad

Well Dudley, was a dud!!

I am very excited about this possible deal. I am traveling alone and do not have pin or ap discount, so any discount on the hotel is big for me. I am already booked for the dates that the gift card may be offered, so that could be a bigger deal for me. My question is can I use the gift card to pay for tours ( which I already booked) and food at wdw? I know that nobody know for sure until 5:00, but any guesses? Guess where I'll be at 5:30, when I finnally get home!

Okay - I couldn't make it through this whole thread. Is the 7 for 4 a pretty definite? Or did someone just mention that and it's taken off? That won't do much for us, so just wondering if I still need to pay attention....

We have a short trip booked in January, but the rumored offer has me interested in March to go during the kids' spring break (even though it would be more crowded). We would drive down, but DH will most likely not be able to take a full week of vacation and could fly back midweek. I'll be 28 weeks pregnant with a 3-year old and 4-year old, and can't fathom staying by myself for three days, BUT my sister might fly down to help me - especially if we're paying for the room and tickets and meals.

Could my DH be the 2nd adult in our room the first half of the trip and my sister be the 2nd adult in our room the 2nd half of the trip? Or would I be forced to make two different reservations?

Bring back something good. You'd think someone would've baked us some brownies by now. :goodvibes

We did the 7 for 4 in 2003. So if this is the biggest deal since 2001, there will have to be more than that.

Can someone tell me if I should stick with the reservation I already have with AAA in May (I haven't officially paid them my annual fee to join yet). I'm wondering why I would stick with that ressie where I have to pay AAA $60 which I don't use for anything but the vacation discount. Shouldn't I just try to double-book tonight and then drop the AAA ressie after I'm sure I've gotten in. I know Disney never allows more than one discount so AAA discount will be null and void. I hope I haven't thoroughly confused everyone.:rotfl:

from the sheer volume of posts, it appears someone may have already baked some of the "good" brownies.

Heading to a long meeting will call after meeting... WHAT's the phone # booking a vacation..

Soooooo, since we're a bit ho-hum about the current rumors, to pass the time, should we talk about what deal *would* blow our minds?? I'll start:

Buy 4 nights and get 3 free. Free dining for all 7 nights (LOL). $200 gift card to be used for anything at the parks, including tours, restaurants, and tips. I think if Disney offered that, my mind would officially be blown.

Anyone else want to dream BIG with me?? :rotfl:

I would add, 5 nights/4 free, 6 nights/5 free

I just got a great CM... this was our conversation:

Me: Hello! I'm one of those people you probably hate who are reading message boards and learning about some wonderful announcement that may or may not be coming out around 5pm today.

She: LAUGHS

Me: We currently have a room-only reservation booked through AAA. If there were, you know, any wonderful announcement about a great deal coming out today, would you happen to know if my reservation would fall into the correct category?

She: If there WERE such a wonderful announcement, your PACKAGE would have to be booked through AAA, with your AAA Travel Agent.

Me: Ah, so no wonderful room-only announcements?

She: Packages are always great to have, ma'am!

Me: Yes, but we already have tickets purchased on base.

She: Tickets don't expire, but great announcements do!

We both laugh.

Scene.

So, I guess you could go through AAA too...
