Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

I read on another board you will be able to book 4/3 8/5 9/6 10/7 max will be 10

Do you mean four nights w/three free, eight nights w/five free, and so on? Are there no 5,6,7/x options? If so, I'd need to add on an extra night. Is the maximum stay 10 nights? If so, my stay gets shorter by 2 days.

I'll be interested to see. It's the dining option that will be a deciding factor for our family. Just room and tickets 4/3 isn't THAT great of a deal. But add in dining 4/3, and we're there. I almost have to believe the dining is an option, or I don't think it would be touted as such a HUGE deal. I guess time will tell. I like to think Mary knows a HUGE deal when she sees one. :)

I actually look like this today :scared: with a little :confused3

:lmao:

I will just call tonight and put my fate into the CM who answers the phone:rotfl:

LMAO, when I rolled out of bed at 3:50 this morning to check just in case.. I looked for like :scared1: and thats how my hair looked, yikes!:scared:

I really hope that it isn't the buy 4 nights get 3 free deal. I was hoping for a room discount, as getting the 4 nights is pricey for me already! I may just have to rely on my AAA discount...

:rotfl: too funny...feeling the same way especially since at exactly 5 pm I will talking to my son's algebra teacher for a conference....lol...perfect timing!

Maybe I should ask him to run numbers for me lol

I think I'm going to do the same thing. I've got my potential travel dates handy and I am going to mousesavers and get the code. Then, I'll just call and have them give me several quotes. If they beat our August package I already have booked, then I'll cancel and change.

Exactly. I keep thinking that I must be looking at this from the incorrect perspective because it truly does not seem like some kind of huge deal to me. Yes, it is a savings of some sort but all they are really doing is pulling you in. I just don't see a huge savings but I keepthinking that maybe it's because I am looking at it as if "the glass is half empty". Trying to figure out how to make that "glass 1/2 full" instead but it isn't working ;)

I feel like I HAVE to run the numbers, even hypothetical numbers, so when I get on the phone with them when "the deal goes down" I can make an educated decision. I do the same every trip with AP rates, I have the numbers all worked out ahead of time so I know if it is worth it to drop my AAA rate and get an AP rate - requiring me to buy the AP.

If you don't run the numbers, Disney will make you *think* it is a better deal than it is. It is the same with the Dining plan. They always tell me it is a great deal, but for our family, it ISN'T a good deal at all. I KNOW, because I run the numbers. I know what we spend OOP, and I know we might break even with the dining plan but we loose flexibility.

We all need to educate oursleves about what Disney has to offer. They are not trying to do us any favors, they are trying to fill rooms the WAY too many rooms they have built that are sitting empty because of todays economy. Especially with the economy, each and every one of us needs to be able to sit down with a caluclator and calculate - well ANYTHING! We wouldn't be in a recession right now if americans knew how to calculate compound interest.

THANK YOU!! This is so much the way I feel about it. You must run the numbers. I have always found by running the numbers, the free dining plan costs us more money than just eating however we normally would (and we do a lot of TS since DS#2 has food allergies and none of us are big on fast food). Granted, we have APs and the Tables in Wonderland/Disney Dining Experience card. Sorry, Mary, but I've always wished you put in a page on comparing offers, true costs and such (i.e., driving v. flying). If you have, I apologize--I must miss it. I just *always* refer people there and then write it out myself so they can figure out the best way.

We are considering a family trip and an adult trip both for 2009. The adult trip is for our anniversary and the dates are non-negotiable and don’t even begin to qualify for this offer. The family trip days are beginning of June and end of August. If the rumored deal is true, I’d pay $3,735.04 for what we want; with the offer, it’s looking like $3, 193.88 with passes to sit on for a later date. I’d save $541.16 out right. Not bad. Better than no deal, and something that can be changed if a good AP deal comes out.

Further comparing it to our August option we would currently be paying, without a discount of any kind $3194.96. So going in June with a deal would save us $1.08. Not really a deal when considering the date changes—and I am leaning to August since we were just there over Halloween and are going back for Thanksgiving. But with the adult trip, it might be nicer to space them a little further. However, I do have confidence that there will also be some type of discount in August, saving us the most money over all.

I haven't read the whole thread (supposed to be working right now) so fogive me if this has been asked.... Has anyone heard if this supposed deal will be for room only or if it has to be a package deal? TIA

You can alter a already booked package with a code without canceling and rebooking, right? If the dates arent changing???

I agree that if there is no 3 nights free dining, this isn't the best deal Disney ever had. When they did this promotion 5 years ago, you got tickets for the week that also included hoppers, waterparks and DQ. Without the $200 giftcard(I'm going in June), my package back then was better than this one if there is no dining.

This may have been answered before but could it be applied to a split stay as long as you were staying in mod. both times??? We are syaying at CBR 5 nights and POFQ 3 nights because that was all that was available. We could not get CBR for all 8 nights!!!!We are going 01/16/-01/24.

I just booked for 7 nights at the Pop for the end of January. I added the Dining Plan and 7 day Park Hopper Passes. The CM told me (he had to wait until after I paid the deposit) to call back tonight and they will have a code for 3 nights and park passes free (with the purchase of 7). I haven't read the whole thread, so maybe some one else already posted what the deal is, but just in case here it is again:

Book a 7 night package and get 3 of the nights and 3 of the park pass days free. 7 for the price of 4.

Since it doesn't include dining, I'm going to cancel that part of the ressie. I might upgrade to an AP. In that case he said I would get the price of a 3-day park pass off the price of the AP.

I wonder if you have to buy a 4 day ticket to get the whole deal. We are only getting a one day pass for everyone so we can add on the ddp. We already have unused tickets so we don't need to buy any more than a one day pass. I can't believe they'll make anyone buy a minimum 4 day pass to use this deal, they've never done anything like that before. We are currently booked for 6 nights but would probably stay 7 nights if three of them would be free!

I read it as pay 4 get 3 pay 5 get 3 pay 6 get 3 pay 7 get 3. Max is the 7 get 3
Again speculation, based on these numbers....the bottom line is you get 3 days free.

I know but it helps pass the time until 5:00;)

I know this is going to come out tonight at 5 but is this package or whatever for 2009.....I was hoping to get a December trip in but am hoping there was a deal for that! thanks!!!

... I might upgrade to an AP. In that case he said I would get the price of a 3-day park pass off the price of the AP.

That would be wonderful!!! 3 day tx $ off of my AP. I wonder since I will be there for 14 nights if I can get 6 of them for free??? :thumbsup2 I just can't wait until 5pm :yay: :woohoo:  :cheer2:

Does anyone know if we can book the 7 nights but actually only stay 6? We won't be able to stay 7 but at least we'd have 2 free!
