Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

Thats a pretty great deal. My problem is we are going Jan 3-10 and I can't bump it Jan 4-11 because we are cruising on the 10th. Unless I bump our park days to AFTER the cruise....but oh man.....

So I wonder if I just pay for the 3rd, and then book this package but tell them I only need 2 days free - they probably would do that....

Now I have to go run numbers..... so disappointing :(
I have been running numbers and this deal won't make sense for us...bummer

I actually might end up cancelling a reservation with Disney and stay off property for my short trip since I can't stay longer and would only stay on property with a code

Hey, hey, hey! Watch it, Tide Fans! There's a Tiger on this board!
Too bad I'm not going to the game, I gave my ticket to my father-in-law so he can go to a game with my husband. I apologize in advance for the Saban-haters. They need to get over themselves.
But I have a sad, sad feeling LSU won't pull this one out thanks to our defense. Hatch might even throw you a ball or two. :confused3

Anyway, I hope there is a deal for AP holders. Wouldn't you know ... I join DVC and Disney may start GIVING AWAY regular rooms tomorrow. What's up with that?

Ha! Crack me up! I didn't see you LSU fans on here! Sorry!

Yeah...I am not real comfy w/ going to the game in the midst of all the hooplah....hope someone doesn't make fun of me in my AL colors! LOL! Hey...don't feel bad about the Saban-haters....I can bet that if he left UA we'd have just as many...he was a great catch when you had him and honestly, we are just pure lucky to have gotten him.

This game is gonna be a toss up w/ two good defenses! Only time will tell!

By the way...you have DVC....are you sharing??? LOL! We are staying at SSR for Free dining plus 30% off in September and I am VERY excited! Wish we could own but for now I will just dream and be happy w/ my AP!! :) Don't think this new big promo is gonna work for me b/c we are going to be there from Jan. 1-5.

I am hoping it will open up a room for my family to grab for Dec. 30 and 31 b/c we wanted to come down earlier but there was no availability. I am hoping some smart cookie will move their new year's trip to later b/c of the great deal and then I can benefit in some way!! We shall see....till then...Roll Tide and Go Disney!! :cheer2:

Well by my calculations it will still save me $340 if I book one night AAA rate (already have that booked) and then 4 nights at a regular rate and stay for 2 of the 3 nights free. Even if they 'make' me book 3 extra nights I will just check out a day early. Nothing can stop me from doing that.
The only thing that I don't need this trip is park hoppers/waterparks. If they make me buy those, I won't bother with it at all.

Does anyone know if it is "allowed" to switch off participants during your stay? For example, DH & DS would be there 4 nights, DSister & DNiece would be there 3, DD & myself would be there all 7 nights. DS & DD would technically still be at the child rate, but I would upgrade both to the "junior" rate because DNiece would be 11.

We would have 1 reservation for 7 nights with 8 day park hopper & Dining plan.

Has anyone had experience doing anything like this? Is it even allowed?

ok...so i have my room booked. is there a certain amount of time that i have to book the tickets and meal plan? can i just add that onto my current ressie or do they do a whole new one?

Oh great!!! That would be super. Now im just hoping it applies to all resorts because i would love to upgrade to WL if this deal is true!!!!

What travel site is this through? Only Disney or will all TA's have access to this? And will a special code be needed or can anyone just call and reserve? I realize that no one may know the details yet but I can't wait to hear everything! :goodvibes

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Finally I've been away all day and now I see this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I emailed my AAA agent I'm sure she already knows but I need to make her aware to call for me so I can get a better deal. It will work for us and my dates are still open with a tpv at GF and I'll save some $$ this way for sure. LOL probably at 5pm my tpv won't be available I think I'll have her reserve my extra dates and then change the ressie with the code after the fact as I'm pretty sure unless we get a 'huge' deal we'll be going off site as we just don't want to spend the extra $$ right now but this would save alot so I'm hopeful this can work :)

That would not be allowed, the tickets would be person specific.

If this really is the case, I need to ask my mom about this. I really want to go back. AHHHHH!! Here's to hoping this is the deal!

do you think it will be buy 4 get 3 free of what you bought, i.e. tickets, dining or just hotel?

Let's hope that it is all 3! After pricing it out, ALL out, with 9 different combinations, I have found that for us, we will need the DDP to be included to make it really worthwhile.

I think that it could be great for those taking shorter trips, but we will be there for 2 weeks (yes, I hear all the violins) so the ticket portion will become virtually void of savings. The room part will still be discounted and that will be great, but not as great as I was hoping.

Again, I am wishing for some morning pixie dust!

oh we have a reservation for April 18th to 25th. It's 7 nights, and we were getting 7 days tickets. There's not much difference between the 4 day ticket and 7 days ticket. But if we get 7 nights for the price of 4 I'll be happy.

These are our dates as well. I hope they're not blocked out!popcorn ::

Let's say this 4night get the 3rd nights free is a real promotion, what would happen if I already booked my 2009 vacation package already,,,,would I still be eligible for this deal

I've asked this before but didn't see an answer posted. We'd like to stay 9-10 nights, and this promotion seems to work best for 7 or 14 nights. How does it work for 9-10 nights? (Or doesn't it?) Would we have the code for thr first 7 nights and then pay OOP for the last 2-3 nights? :confused3

Why don't we just wait until the actual promotiion is released before we spend so much time trying to figure out if it's actually going to save us money? :p

I had this deal in 2003, and yes, you would have to add on the extra nights as rooms only. I added on 2 extra, but was able to use a AAA discount.
I really hope dining is included in the 7 for 4. The room part is a good deal, but the extra days of tickets are not an impressive discount.

That is how it worked then but Disney has changed their reservation system since then so hopefully that won't be the case where you have to add on nights as a room only to either end. We need to wait and see once the promotion is actually available to book
