Mousesavers Rental Car Codes

Hi everyone!

Has anyone ever used the general Wal-Mart codes on the mousesavers rental car website?

It says it can be used by anyone, but I wanted to be sure that they weren't going to ask for anything when I checked in. I booked a rental car for both California and Hawaii using the code (from Avis and Budget) and it worked OK so far.

Also, once the rental car agency confirms your reservation, is the rate quote locked in? I wouldn't want to pay more because I can't use this code for some reason.

on a few of my past trips and was never asked for anything and never had my price changed. Hopefully you find the same!

I've used those codes literally 100s of times with alamo, never had a problem.

Remember...EVERYONE is a Wal-Mart customer (at least according to the Wal itself!)

I used the Wal-Mart code last year (picked up a mini-van at Buffalo airport), and wasn't asked for anything additional.

Another nice thing about the Walmart code on Alamo is that it entitles you to an extra driver for free.

I've used the Walmart codes for a few years now. I always take a copy for my rate quote with me, but I've never had a problem!

I was worried that this was too good to be true. I got I think 20% off both rentals and saved like $80! I wasn't sure it would work - especially in Hawaii -but the rate went through.

And I will definitely take the confirmation letters - I already printed them out!

We've used the walmart code a couple of times. They don't ask you for anything..and we saved quite a bit.

Where has anyone found the information that the Wal-Mart code for Alamo allows the extra driver?

It says it on your booking page, when you look at final pricing with taxes. In some states, this is moot since spouses are already "authorized," but in some cases it really helps!
