Mousesavers...Dollar Rental ?

I read on Mousesavers about an offer by Dollar in which you can rent a SUV Full size for 50% off.

I already have a mini-van confirmed for our upcoming 12/7-16 trip but if I find a better deal, I will cancel this.

The offer states that you must book online through DOLLAR and print out the coupon that Mousesavers lists.

I went to Dollar, put in the code JP102 as directed and the price was not reflected as 50% off.

I also saw on the printed coupon that the coupon must be an original.

I'd like to know if anyone has taken advantage of this offer; it sounds great, but I am hesitant to cancel my reservation only to find out it is too good to be true

I booked it also but have not used it yet.If you look at the detailed costs it should take the 50% off at the bottom.I'm going to call to check out the situation about the coupon.

If you used the code correctly and did not get the 50% off price, Dollar is probably sold out for Jeeps for some or all of your dates.

I did not read on the coupon (link through MouseSavers) anything about an original.

Definitely, do not cancel your existing reservation until you have a confirmed reservation for something else that meets your needs.

Did you select 'Reserve Now' when you entered your information on the Dollar website? The discount wont reflect until you select it. Hope that helps.

The coupon having to be original is news to me. I hope that's not the case. Someone posted a link in another thread to the coupon on the Dollar website. The printed copy will have the Dollar URL clearly stated at the bottom of the page. Hopefull, this will be enough.

I think you may have misunderstood what the coupon said.I just read mine and it says:
"To take advantage of this great offer you must do the following:
1.Print out the attached coupon.
2.Make your reservation by clicking on the "Reserve now" button.
3.Bring the coupon to the Dollar counter at the time of rental."
At the bottom under rental counter instructions it tells them to mail in the original Jeep coupon.I think that is where it looks confusing.
I'm looking at my confirmation page now and it says:
Base rent 297.66(8 days)

Taxes,Surcharges and fees
50% Discount -$148.83 it goes on to state taxes etc.
Total Estimated Charges $198.52

Special Promotion!
50% off ,time and mileage only.Must present coupon to counter to receive discount.

I am beginning to wonder if they are not sold out as you said. I had no problem booking my mini van a few months ago, but this is not reflecting the price difference and therefore, I am leary of making the reservation. Now that I know some of you were able to book using this code, I am sure this is the case.

I will keep trying in the event someone cancels.

I kinda figured they'd sell out as an SUV is not the most popular vehicle in florida....and as per the terms & conditions of the offer: ]Offer subject to vehicle availability at participating locations through 12/20/2002.

Just FYI, the only reason I removed the offer from MouseSavers is that it appears almost every date is sold out for Jeeps in Orlando! I didn't want people to be frustrated by trying and trying if there just aren't any Jeeps left.

It was a great deal while it lasted!
