I'm thinking about getting one. Are they good to go through? This'll be my first pin purchase, so I just want to make sure I'm buying them at a good place :thumbsup2

I just posted earlier to ask the same thing.

My boys would really love to have some extra pins to trade on our next trip, but I'm scared to order.:headache:

I just received my first order from Mousepins online. I bought the 25 pin grab bag, which came out to $1.75 per pin. I'm not a collector, I just wanted inexpensive pins for dd to trade during our next trip. I placed my order on a Saturday, received it the following Tuesday, so quick shipping. The pins were in excellent condition. They all looked new, no chips in the paint or dents in the metal. All came with the rubber Mickey head backing on the post. All had Disney copyright stamp on back. Our biggest problem will be deciding which ones to take and trade because we liked them all so much!! No doubles and the variety of the characters was impressive. We got Mickey, Flounder, Tinkerbell, Minnie, Pochantas, Stitch, Clarabelle, Pluto, and many others. They really made sure that we had a variety of characters in our bag. I'd most definitely recommend!!:thumbsup2

Btw, I found out about mousepins from the dis, highly recommended by a lot of people!!

I hate to be the dissenting voice here but I guess people will always have a different experience when doing the same thing.

I also bought the 25 grab bag, and yes, shipping was fast, pins were in excellent condition, no doubles. BUT, I got 11 ProPins in my lot! I did read on the site that there would be some but did not expect it to be such a high percentage. I thought I might get 2 or 3. I won't buy from them again. Now I have all these pins that I can't take to the parks. Like I told someone else, I guess I'll give them out for Halloween. Very disappointed, but I have no one but myself to blame.

If I were you, I'd get a lot from ebay and be sure the seller tells you in the description that there will be no ProPins or Sedesmas.

From what I've read on these boards, propins are tradeable with cast members, correct? We won't be trading with anyone other than cm's, so it didn't matter if we got propins or not. Still cute, imo, even though made cheaper.

We're not trying to collect, just have fun and let dd have some friendly interaction. We've traded on two previous trips with cm's and I don't ever recall anyone even looking at the back of the pin to check what type it is. They were all friendly, though some rushed, but none ever said no, they wouldn't want to disappoint a sweet little kid! Now if you're trading with other collectors or guests, it's a different story. We just keep it simple!

Have fun!!

Found this article, helps explain some of the types of pins and Disney's pin trading policy (for what it's worth, we all know things change quickly.)

Personally, ebay scares me too much. All I hear is how they lie and send you bad pins, no matter what the description says.

I think I'll take my chances with mousepinsonline, since I've been looking around and found much more positive there than ebay.

Also, I want 15 pins. Ebay doesn't have them in the right amounts. Plus, it's $2/pin on ebay, as opposed to $1.75/pin

We have bought from them the last 2 years and will do so again this year. Dh and I love to trade and so do ALL of our kids. We usually buy 100-150 pins to take with us to trade. We have never had a problem trading a Propin and we have traded MANY! My kids love to trade just to trade and all we trade with is CM's.

Their shipping is really fast and I was actually shocked at how many CM pins were included in our last grabbag. I say go for it (especially with their sale going on right now!)

I have had both good and bad experiences on ebay...

The bad ones I have had are with the grab bag style pins....
I don't buy these anymore.

Now, I buy the auctions which show you exactly what pins you are getting, with a little looking around you can actually get pins for between $1.00 and $1.50 a piece but it does require some patience and the right search.
Mostly I buy cast member exclusives (not cast lanyard/hidden mickey).

I would also add that most of the bad pins I have received have all been in the hidden mickey department!

Overall there is nothing wrong with buying on eBay in my oppinion, but do be very very careful what you buy and who you buy it from.
