Can anyone tell me whether this club is operating, or will be operating in June 05. DH and I will be dining at Victoria & Alberts and want to put our DS10 there whilst we eat. Is he too old, or will he be ok, or would it be better to hire a private sitter for him?

Thnaks for your advice

We just checked out the Mouseketeer Club a couple of weeks ago (DD stayed at Neverland club a couple nights prior). The club should be open for you. It is a pretty small room. But one wall had computers and playstations lined up. That's probably all a 10 year old boy needs to occupy him for a couple hours.

Thanks a lot. We have to book it sometime beginning of March, will check it all out then.

My DD 9 loved the club at GF. She thought the lady in charge was great and didn't want to leave. She also loves the one at the Wilderness Lodge.

Jane, make your reservations for the Mouseketeer Club in advance. I can't remember how far in advance you can make them (30 days?), but a simple call to WDW-DINE should answer that.

I have actually used Disney's In-Room Sitter service, the GF's Mouseketeer Club, and the Poly's Never Land Club whenever I have dined at Victoria & Albert's. All three options worked beautifully (for the sitter, we had an infant, a toddler, and a child who was in the mid- to upper-single digits).

The last time my son enjoyed the Poly's Never Land Club, I think he was 9 or 10 (boy, how time flies -- he's in college now). When my daughter used the Beach Club's Sandcastle Club on one of our recent vacations, she told me that there was a 12-year old girl there that night who was enjoying the video games and the craft projects.

My family has been consistently using the kids clubs at WDW for quite a few years now. Sometimes they are packed with kids and sometimes they are fairly empty. But parents are continually checking their children into and out of the clubs all the time, so the loading level changes. The one thing that has remained constant, however, is the fact that both of my children have always enjoyed their stays at the kids clubs. My daughter actually begs to stay at a few of them during our vacations. I guess she gets tired of hanging out with her mom & dad and wants to have some fun with people closer to her own age. To each his/her own. ;)

On ever Disney trip, my DH and I always check our DD6 into a kid's club one night so we can have some "alone" time. EVERY time we go to pick her up (usually after 2 or 3 hours) she BEGS to stay longer. Believe me, I would leave her in there all night if it wasn't ten bucks an hour!

It is a really wonderful thing. DH and I can really enjoy ourselves and not feel one bit guilty.

Oh, just wanted to add that she has stayed at the WL "Cub's Den" and also AKL's "Simba's Cubhouse" and thought they were both great!

We take our DD6 to the Kids Clubs more for her than for us!! She likes to get the break from the parks, the walking and from US!!! We plan dinner for ourselves and then just kind of kill time until it's time to pick her up.

We have had her at the Neverland Club & the Sandcastle Club. This upcoming trip we have her scheduled for 2 evenings at the Cubs Den (WL) & one evening at Simbas Club (AKL) so we can try Boma without our super-picky eater!!! The Kids Clubs have dinner for the kids included for the price as well.

I think your child might be bored with a private sitter. Give the Kids Clubs a try...your child will love it!!!
