I know I've read it on these boards but I can't seem to find it. Could someone give me a link to what mousekeeping does on a DVC point stay. I know that if you stay less than 7 days you get trash and towel on day 4 but we will be stay for 8 nights and wanted to have an idea of what changes happen then.

TIA

From the member website:

Housekeeping Services
Trash & Towel Service
For stays of seven or less nights, Trash & Towel Service is provided on day four, regardless of whether you're using Member-discounted cash, Vacation Points or a combination of both.

With Trash & Towel service, Housekeeping will:

Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins.
Provide fresh bathroom linens.
Replace shampoo, facial soap and bath soap.
Replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper.
Replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners.
Replenish dishwashing liquid, dishwashing detergent, sponges and laundry detergent as needed in one-, two- and three-bedroom Vacation Homes.

Full Cleaning Service
For stays of eight or more nights, Full-Cleaning Service is provided on day four and Trash & Towel Service is provided on day eight. After that, the cycle begins again on day 12, regardless of whether you're using Member-discounted cash, Vacation Points or a combination of both. With Full-Cleaning service, Housekeeping will provide everything included with the Trash & Towel Service, plus:

Change the bed linens.
Vacuum and dust the Vacation Home.
Clean the bathroom(s).
Clean the kitchen/kitchenette and wash the dishes.

Thank you. Tried the members website but couldn't find what you gave me. Where or what is it under. Forgive my inexperience but new DVC member and still learning all the ins and outs.

There is a lot of hard to find info on the member website. You might want to take the time to just click on every link and check it out. :goodvibes

Thanks Bill,

I will do that over the next week. Its good to know that if you can't find something that the well experienced like yourself are there to answer a quick question or two.

I would suggest buying a cheap pack of face towels and just leaving them there. Or bringing some from home and allowing to dry before packing. Very inconvenient to be restricted to just 4 small bathing towels for 4 days, especially for a family of 4. You could purchase (rent) extra towels, but at $6/day, it could start to add up.

Other than that, I loved staying DVC. Have fun!

They should make a game of it. When you find some "hidden info" they could have some trumpet fanfare and give you a virtual trophy in your profile. :cool1:

You really do have to click, click, click and go through layers of info to find everything on the site.

It is not $6/day, unless you buy a new pack every day. It is $6 for an extra set.

We plan to do this when we stay this summer in a BCV studio for 3 nights. Pay the $6.00 the first day to give us a total of 8 towels. With just 3 of us, we will only be re-using them once (something we do at home) and plenty of time in between for them to fully dry.

We will then be moving to BLT for 3 nights in a 1 bedroom and will simply dry them in the dryer.

We do the same thing in 2 bedrooms. We always get an extra set so that we have extras and aren't washing towels all the time. It is worth 6 bucks.
