Hello!
This is our first trip to Disney and to the FW Cabins :cool1:
I have been reading about mousekeeping and was just wondering if in the cabins you get the same kind of service as the other "resorts"?
Also, I read yesterday that sometimes they give Disney toothbrushes, toothpaste? How about those little towel animals?
Do they come in the mornings or afternoons? I did read they clean your dishes
Anyway, just wondering about specifics.
Also are there electric plugs outside the cabins to plug in lights? We are going for Christmas and thought it would be fun to wrap some around the deck railing and maybe on the golf cart (if I can figure out how to do it :confused3

Thanks for any input and suggestions :Pinkbounc

The mousekeeping at the cabins can be hit and miss, just like at all the resorts. We have never had towel animals at the cabins, but it's possible.

Never heard of getting toothbrushes or paste even at the Poly. Are you sure they weren't talking about the new service they were trying out in September where you could order things to be delivered to your room?

The mousekeeping gets to you when they get to you:rotfl: . Depending where you are on their schedule. Yes they do load your dishwasher for you. I've never had them put the dishes away though.

I'm pretty sure there is a plug outside on the deck. I know there is a plug in the front of the cabin to plug in your golf cart.

I love the cabins at Christmas time. It is IMHO the best time to go! Try to take the time to enjoy the Ft. I'm usually rushing around trying to see everything at the parks and miss the little things. Have a great time.

Housekeepers work from about 8am to about 4pm, so you never know when you'll get service. I would think they would try and clean check-outs first, so new people could check in, but you can never tell :rotfl:

I've never stayed in the cabins, but I have stayed at the Fort. I have seen towel animals in the windows - placed there so that they are looking of you to return. Super cute.

Oh, I really hope we get a good mousekeeper who does those towel animals :goodvibes
They sound adorable!
I am soooooooooo into this planning my DH has put me on a time restriction for the disboards :rotfl2:

Our friends stayed in one of the cabins last year and received towel animals and her duaghter's stuffed animals were cutely arranged.
They loved staying there.

We tend not to go to the parks early and often Mousekeeping comes before we are ready for them. Then if they figure that out they seem not to come until really late and we are back. Can't win.

We put up lights and there is a plug on the deck.

Sometimes we get towel animals and sometimes we dont. :goodvibes
