We have two reservations at BLT (first one for 2 nights and second one for 5 nights). The reservations are linked so that hopefully we won't have to change room. They are otherwise booked from two different membership accounts. Since this is the first time we're doing this, can someone tell me what would the mousekeeping schedule be like? Would we get a full cleaning on Day 3 (which is the "first" day of our second reservation)? Or would the entire 7 nights be treated as one reservation for mousekeeping schedule?

Also, I know usually you only get one set of coffee, shampoo etc. amenities when you first check-in, but given that we have 2 reservations, can we expect a refill on Day 3 when the second reservation starts? Or should I plan to bring enough myself?

Just trying to know what the rules are and how things should work. :)

I've done linked reservations several times, the last time at VGC in September. It is considered one stay. You will get room keys with the full 7 nights on it and trash & towel will be day 4.

What should happen and what does happen are often two different things. On a stay of 7 nights, you should get T&T on day 4.

We find that Mousekeeping with situations like yours, don't show up. I suggest that you call Mousekeeping on day 3 to remind them of T&T on day 4.

We had a linked reservation that we had to modify less than 30 days out. It had been nine nights and became eight nights. Six on one contract and two on the other. We did have to get new keys, but we did not move. Our parking permit was for the entire time.

But our housekeeping was way messed up. On Day 4, we should have had a full cleaning. We got trash and towel. On Day 7 (which was the start of the second reservation), they did another trash and towel. On Day 8, they came around 4PM in the afternoon to do a full cleaning (and we were leaving the next morning). We told them to forget about it.

On our recent September trip, this was our experience:

We were at BLT in a GV for 9 nights on a linked reservation, should have had a full cleaning on Day 5, I think, but that doesn't matter because it did not happen. When I called Mousekeeping they told me I was only there for 6 nights, so no full cleaning. I explained I would be there for 9 nights in the same room. They insisted I would not--very cranky woman.

Went down to the lobby, they said I was there 9 nights, should have had a full cleaning that day and then they called Mousekeeping. They set up a cleaning for us the very next day. When the guy hung up, he said he was so glad he got who he got because the woman that normally answers the phone there is hard to deal with.

Next day, full cleaning, beds changed, etc. , all is good. Then the following day, a knock at the door is Mouskeeping wanting to know if we were ready for our full cleaning. :confused3 Told her no but that we could use more dishwashing detergent since they didn't leave any when they did the full-service and we were doing dishes daily.

On the day that the second reservation took over, we did get a message telling us we would have to get new keys that the current ones would not work.

Oh, also, when we discovered the problem with Mousekeeping, we noticed that our parking passes only went thru the last day of the first reservation, so we had to get all new parking passes as well.

So, just be prepared for some hiccups with a linked reservation. No big deal, just things you have to take care of.

We were at BWV 1BR STD View
ressie #1 Nov26-Nov 30 (on BWV contract)
ressie #2 Nov30-Dec1 (on BLT contract)
Ressies were linked.

At checkin, we were told we would have to check out and check back into the same room on Nov 30th.

On Nov 29th, we received T&T service as expected.
On Nov 30th, they slipped our new keys under the door so we didn't even have to go down to the front desk to get the new keys. It was a very nice surprise.

When we came back in the evening on the 30th, we noticed that housekeeping had made the bed (we usually leave the bed turned down and the decorator pillows over on a chair), ran the dishwasher and changed out the towels. So, I guess this was one of those hiccups. If we had known housekeeping was coming, we would have left another tip. :confused3

We had a stay that was several reservations (that were supposed to be linked). When we checked in we found out that they were not linked. The manager worked it out so that we could stay in the room for the entire time and we only had to get new keys once. But Mousekeeping was confused/confusing! And add to that my own confusion because it was our first ever DVC stay :)
