So I know there are divergent tastes and events, and not everyone will be there in time for everything however, I wanted to try to pull together some who, what, where. lemme preface this with my BF has only ever been to MK and I wanna make the most of the weekend, so This is mostly me talking out loud trying to get a grip on my plan of attack...

Friday

Fall out boy concert:
wildeoscar
cocowum
launchpad11b

Drink around the world with Mindy and friends

UrsulasShadow - Mindy
ADP - Aaron
scarlett873 - Brandie
Yvet - Emiel & Yvet
Tonya2426 - Tonya
tickledtink33 - Kim
Annette_VA - Annette
2xcited2sleep - Christine

Saturday

probably breakfast at captains grille... since it is right there

mega mouse meet 10-1
everyone

toy story desert and hug John meet
Everyone

however... I was looking and there is a fantasmic! that night at 6.5. My BF has never seen Fantasmic! so I thinking we'll do that, after we get out, we'll have about an hour to kill till I guess before we can start signing into pixar place, which might be enough time for tower of terror and or rocken roller coaster. Then get signed in, wonder over to Osbourn lights. I also wanted to make the block party bash at 3, which means leaving for DHS from MMM at 2 at the latest. yes at this point I think I am starting to over plan.

Sunday... breakfast somewhere? I would lean toward captains grille again (locks and bagles, yum).

Wanted to do the Lou Mongello trivia meet up at 1 on sunday, then after head to Epcot for the rest of the day, and make the Disunplugged coco and cookies meet. so that would mean being at MK for rope drop, which would make breakfast very early, which would make it a very short night, but I can sleep when I am dead. Right after monorail to Epcot, soarin', the spin and hurl (mission space) test track. Dis meet for the lighting ceremony, maybe try to catch American adventure before Illuminations. How late is capt cooks open... could we make it over there for a dole whip?

Looks good Rex. Does this mean you are joining us on Friday night for the Drink Around the World Meet?

Rex, do I have this right? You're planning 4 parks in 2 days with your BF? Whew, you go guy...

Saturday

maybe AK at rope drop for the first lion king show of the day?

mega mouse meet 11-3
everyone

toy story desert and hug John meet
Everyone

First off...I'm doing the Gospel Brunch on Sunday. Anyone going to try to join me?

Secondly, the MMM is from 11a-1p, not 3p, and if you register for MF, you can get in an hour early and get the best tchotchkes, and get to talk to everyone early.

I'll be doing the Fantasmic dessert party, before I go to the DISMANIA dessert party...I'm going to be desserted out.

I'm sorry for sounding naive but is there any thread that lists the Dis meets and events that weekend?
I'll be there with a few other friends and we'd love to meet up with other disers.

The official DIS Unplugged podcast meets are at the bottom of the page here...
http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-podcast/

The unofficial meets are scattered hither and yon.

You can meet up with other DISers and other members of other sites by attending pretty much any of the meets listed on the MouseFest site.http://www.mousefest.org/default.asp

friday night we'll be at the concert, depending on what time it gets out, hit up poly for dole whip... sorry but DATW will have to wait for the cruise.

Rex, do I have this right? You're planning 4 parks in 2 days with your BF? Whew, you go guy...

after mindy's correction on the times for MMM... there is no realistic way to get AK in the AM. So scratch that out... that just means AK will be higher on the list for PreCruise... maybe.

First off...I'm doing the Gospel Brunch on Sunday. Anyone going to try to join me?

I'd love to do the brunch but given we'll be there a lot shorter than you (yes this is a lou is short pun) wanna maximize park time.

good catch, i should learn to read and drink more coffee... where I got my times, I guess we'll never know... guess that makes it a DHS day all day after MMM? Maybe sneak in the back gate at epcot, but that would burn a lot of travel time.

I'll be doing the Fantasmic dessert party, before I go to the DISMANIA dessert party...I'm going to be desserted out.

ug, the Fantasmic! dessert party is already booked, actually it was booked a while ago... I could beg Matt, but that would not be pretty, and we're having desert a couple hours after that... I guess I can press my nose against the glass and look in with sad puppy eyes. And I like to sit close enough to get wet anyway.

thank you! :flower3:

This is our first Mousefest for my friends and I, we don't know where to begin.

This is where being so unorganized really is a fauly.
I'm so impressed you guys have all your plans.:worship:

info is really scattered... all the official is at mousefest.org like mindy sez... but the unofficial stuff is incredibly scattered. though this is good prep for how to heard people and where everyone might be for pre cruise?

thank you! :flower3:

Isn't it exciting to think we're getting so close!! :cool1:
I wish I could do the DATW but I can't handle drinks like I did when I was 20. :sad1:
I guess I still need to sign up for the MMM and TSM. Toy Story is great!!

I might have follow someone like a lost puppy. :rotfl:

Too late to sign up for the TSM. But you can still go to the MMM, and the Epcot Tree Lighting for Bawb meet, and lots of others.

And as far as the DATW...there is food there, too. Nobody will fault you or look at you askance if you just snacked your way around the world.

Snack around the world I can definetly do. :thumbsup2

see, I'm so confused. :sad1: I didn't see TSM on the Mousefest site and just saw November 15 for registering.:confused3 Is there sign up for TSM when you get there?

Like I said, it is too late to sign up for the TSM meet. That had one day in which signups were open, which were filled within 5 minutes of being posted...then a waitlist, but even that had to be closed in a short period of time. It was never available to the general Mousefest public, only on the DIS Unplugged site. So you can't sign up for the DIS TSM meet. Sorry. The Epcot Christmas Tree Lighting is listed on the official Mousefest site, though, and does not require a RSVP to attend...everyone is welcome.

And if you go to the other links on the page I posted a link to, you'll find a listing of events, a listing of attendees, etc.

I am in no way an expert on Mousefest but here is how I plan my strategy for MouseFest.

First go through the schedule (mousefest.org) and pick out the events that are must do's for you.

Then go through the schedule and pick out the events you would like to go to but you won't be heartbroken if you don't get to do.

There is no way you will be able to go to all of the events you are interested in. There are just too many events and not enough time. You may also get tired and want some time to play while you are in the Parks. I usually plan on about 2-4 events a day - this gives me enough relaxation and dining time without feeling like I am on a schedule and not a vacation.

I found being flexible the key to having fun during MouseFest. I might plan to go to an event but then find I am in the mood to do something else - which is fine because it is my vacation.

The best benefit (in my opinion) of being a registered Mousefest participant is the little pocket schedule they send you. I go through the book and hiighlight the events I have planned to do. It allows you to keep it in your backpack/bag and gives you a quick reference through out the day. This is especially handy after a DATW event when you are a tiny bit tipsy. :rolleyes1

Got it now. :thumbsup2
I'm definetly doing the Epcot tree lightning.

Thanks so much for helping me! I hope to meet you there.

So is anyone doing the various meets on Friday at MGM/DHS? I went through the schedule and saw a star tours meet, stop, drop, & roll meet, muppets meet, and podfest. Anyone interested in joining me?

Then we have DATW on Friday evening. And it's EMH at Epcot that night. Anyone gonna take advantage of EMH?

Aside from those, I think the only other one that i'm looking to attend is the MMM. I am a registered MF attendee, so i'll be able to do the 10am extra hour! :thumbsup2

I'll pretty much stick with the group after MMM, assuming they'll let me. :rotfl: I know there's been talk of doing another DATW before we head to MGM for the evening's festivities...

I'm still on the fence about the Gospel Brunch at HoB for Sunday morning...i'll probably go...just can't decide...

As I was reading your post I was going to ask you how you remember all the events.:rotfl:
I love the idea of having the book.

Being that I'm just Eating Around the world I'll help to the bus or monorail after it's over. ;)

Hi Guys,

I signed up for Mousefest ages ago - I remember them saying that the info packets will be mailed out in November.....

Did anybody receive anything yet? Will that include a list of all of the "official" meets?

Thanks!!

Can't wait until TSM meet!! My kids are sooo excited and they now actually appreciate my deranged Disney and Disunplugged addictions!!

I want to catch the Muppet Meet, and Podfest, too. And of course, since AskTracy only has ONE day to do MF, we have to have a special DATW after MMM, just for her. I can't miss the opportunity!
