Can anyone tell me what this is and how busy the parks usually are then? Also when is Pop Warner for 2006? I am trying to plan a trip for this coming December as a book my photos are going to be in is being released at the Mega Mouse Meet ( dec9th) and I am trying to get a vibe on if I should be there the week before or the week after that?

Any help would be so very welcome!

Ok I just googled one of my answers. Pop Warner is the 4th thru the 10th of December. I am guessing it will be very busy that week.

The 4th-10th were the dates for 2005. I have yet to see the dates for 2006. I would think it is the same week, but the actual dates would be different by one day, yes?

I have gone during this time frame twice (arriving the week before and staying through). I'm sure either way would be fine though. I would think the week after may have less people though since it's getting closer to Christmas.

The Mousefest dates are December 3-12. That means the Mega Mouse Meet will be on December 9. Many of them will be on a cruise from December 3 to December 7. Mousefest doesn't affect the crowds in the parks...but this time of year has become increasingly popular with almost everyone. If you don't plan to take the Mousefest cruise, I'd say stay the week after.

Thanks I do think that is going to be our plan. I will come on the 8th, go to MEga Mouse and then start out touring on the 10th or 11th. Thanks for the help

Can anyone participate in the planned Mousefest events, or do we have to sign up somewhere?

Most events you just show up at although there are a few that require advance reservation and/or advance payment. Those will be clearly stated on the schedule. They will post their schedule later in the summer on their web site: http://www.mousefest.org/

We have been during Mousefest/Pop Warner twice and it is a non issue. Unless you are staying at the values you probably wouldn't even notice that Pop Warner is occurring. They are mainly tied up with their events and don't really affect crowds that much in the parks.

Mousefest is a big event, but still only a few thousand people. At WDW, that is a drop in the bucket. Also, most of the attendees are seasoned travelers and aren't the type to run from ride to ride. Again, doesn't really affect attendance.

During December, there are a lot of people in the parks but the lines for the attractions are pretty small. Except for Saturdays, it is a great time of year to go and the weather is great. I would pick which dates work best for you and not worry about either of these events since they really won't impact you vacation that much.

Did POP week last year. NO troubles at all! I was at POP. I only saw a few CL's the whole time and it was funny to watch the CL mom's wear their hair like the kids!

Thanks for all the tips. We usually go in December and love the crowds. We were there last year with PoP and didn't love it and we were at POFQ. This coming year we are going to All-Stars Sports as that is where they kids want to go, they LOVE that football field!

I think going the week after these events is a good idea and hopefully will be even less crowded! Thanks again
