Mousefest 2006, Dec 3-11, who will be there?

I'll be there, but not doing any Mousefest activities. I can only get two days off in a row from work. So I'm doing a super-duper quickie trip. I get there on the night of Dec. 6th and fly home on the 9th. I then have to be at work later on the 9th! I did this last year and it gave me my Disney Christmas fix I was missing. So I've already got my room and flights booked for this year.

I did the same thing the past 2 Decembers, Barb, just to get my holiday "fix"! This year I'm back to my usual week after Thanksgiving, so I'll have a leisurely time...just no MouseFest when I'm there.

It looks like, after visiting WDW in early December for five years in a row, that I won't be able to make the trip this year. It seems that my wife thinks that paying college tuition is more important that letting me go off to Florida on my own for a week to party with the Disney nuts. Go figure.

Please take lots of pictures, Dan, and say "hi" to everyone for me.

This will be my 7th year at WDW during the first week of December. I'll be there solo since I can't pull DD out of school now that she's older. I'll be on the cruise and at the land portion both. I'll be working at the Mega Mouse Meet on Saturday, but I'll be glad to meet up with fellow DIS'ers at MVMCP on 12/7 or at some of the meets on Friday!

We are going to be down in WDW from 12/6-12/12. We lucked out it seems as it coincides with Mousefest.

I just listened to the wdwtoday podcast about it and I am looking forward to it even more. Just to make sure, a quick question:
Is it for people with websites and podcasts only?
I'm hoping it is for everyone.
I can't go to most of the events, but I plan on making the Dolewhip meet with Mike Scopa.
Our day off from the parks happens to be on the ninth, so I was figuring out a way to ask wife to take a couple of hours and go over to the Meet over at the Dolphin/Swan.
Then one last stop at the Inside the Magic HM ride on Sunday.

We're staying at the Poly so we'll wave to you guys at the breakfast meet as we're on the way to the parks.

Boo hoo. Sniff. Have a pineapple drink for me at Ohana, won't you. I guess I won't be there to win the coconut race this time. Oh well. Maybe when my son graduates from medical school, he can afford to send his dear old dad to WDW at Christmas again.

I am going to miss Ohana, the Merry Mixer, the Mega Mouse Meet, but mostly all of my friends who I have had the privilege to be with over the past five years. I'll miss you all the most.

Maybe I can talk my wife into making a pineapple drink for me on the 7th, just for old times sake.

Before anyone has a heart attack (like CamColt did)...I mixed up the dates.....'Ohana is a different night. But, John...we'll raise a pineapple in your honor!! It just won't be the same without you!!!!
Oh, and Karen and I won't be holding the pole this year either.....way too much ribbing from last year. Auntie whatever her name was can find someone else to do it this year!!!!

Was it for the Ohana get together or for Dis people connecting through lime gereen?

That's me on the left. Do you mean that green button? Those are lime green DIS buttons that you used to be able to buy here on the DIS (but can't anymore ). And yes, they are basically a means of identifying other DISers. Several of us had them on that night.
