Edited 7/7/08- Copied from post #194
I spoke too soon.

Unfortunatly I can not do designs on here. Apparently what happened to my computer before was just a warning that there was a bigger problem with my hard drive. My Hard Drive was pronounced dead at approximately 6:30pm on Saturday. I now need to by a brand new hard drive (which we can't afford right now) and HOPEFULLY (fingers crossed) we can have someone retrieve my files and programs from the dead one and put them on the new one.
If we can't then I have to re-install all my programs and say farewell to all my unsaved files. Unfortunately two of the programs I do designs with, I do not have discs for (My ex installed his program onto my computer, way back when. And when he left so did the discs).
One thing I was able to do when the computer started acting up a couple weeks ago was to start backing up my most important files - which were my photographs, however it was a loooong process and I didn't get to finish backing up everything. So everyone PRAY

What all this means for me is alot of headaches and possibly heartache

I don't know how long it will be before we get me a new hard drive, in the mean time I will have access to DH's computer for a while although i am limited to what I will be able to do with it and that will have to suffice.
What this means for you is I cannot design right now for an indefinate time.
I am so sorry. I really enjoyed doing it, and seeing your finished products and hearing about your family and friends reactions when they first saw it, was the best part.
All the "parts" to my designs are on photobucket. Please feel free to use them as you wish. If you don't have the know-how and you find another designer willing to put it together for you... you have my consent.
Again I am sorry I can't fulfill your requests, you have all been so patient, and I feel as if I let everyone down.
I hope this helps though:

Here are some completed families I personalized (feel free to change the personalizations) http://s169.photobucket.com/albums/u239/jillosphotos/DISigns/
Hopefully everything will work out and the below will be true again.
In the meantime feel free to visit my Pre Trip Report as that is one thing I still can do on DH's computer.
I WILL BE BACK.......... I hope

In order to make life a bit easier for me I have decided to start a new thread for my designs. (I will no longer be taking requests on my previous thread Leonsmom's Design Thread - Please read post #1 first. ) If you have made a request there but don't see it posted there - please re-request it here.
I have finally figured out an even better way to streamline my design.
The old way, I pretty much had to create new heads each time I got a request. It was very time consuming. Time is something I will be having less and less of. I baby sit a 2 year old in my home 5 days a week and next week I start watching my 3 month old niece too. Once school is out I will have 2 more kids (including DS) to add to my day. Can you see me pulling my hair out???

Oh yeah and plan my trip to Disney

Soooo... to make things even easier for me I have spent a few days creating every possible type Mickey head (over 80 designs) for you to make your choice from.

So here is the NEW procedure for making a request.
1.Look in the next few posts to decide which heads match you family members the best.
Or click this link for Male heads and this one for Female heads
2.Make your request in this thread and add the following information:
Type of head by name (as it appears in the picture)
Name (only if you want the name to appear on the design),
gender ,
age (you can also specify adult or child if you prefer it helps me determine size),
type of glasses (if necessary),
Hint: it helps to indicate who the peeps are (Mom, Dad, DS, etc. especially with larger groups for placement)
3. Indicate whether you want a body or not
If you do not write with bodies, I will assume you just want the heads with the name on the hat. Also please allow me to choose the bodies, as placement is what really determines which one is best, especially in larger parties
As I always tell my son, "You get, what you get, and you don't get upset"
(the only exception to this is if you want a baby body - that needs to be added to the request).
4. Include your preference of wording.
5. Check back often for your design

May 17 2008 - ETA: Please double check and triple check your design requests before you post them. It is much too time consuming for me to have to make corrections over and over again.
This last set of designs just took a 3 hour chunk out of my Saturday, if I can save just a bit more time, my poor DS5 would be very happy to have his mommy back.

Here are some examples of how to request designs:
(Mom)-Brown Straight Long - Jill, female, 39
(Dad)-Male Blond Short Crew - Ron, male, 35, round glasses
(Son)-Male Blond Straight - Leon, male, 5
Wording: Celebrating Leons Birthday Disney Style and 2008 (I always do the Mickey ears on the 2008)

(Dad)-Male Drk Brn Straight - Kenny, male, adult
(Mom)-Drk Brn Straight Long- Jenn, female, adult
(DD)-Brown Baby Piggy- Kiera, Female, 18 months, baby body
(DS)-Male Bald Robby, Male, 3 months, baby body
With bodies
Wording: Walt Disney World 2008

Okay with that said .......
