Mouse or House??

We're going with the House! The evil Mouse will understand and has issued us a standing invitation to return any time we'd like.

DH is perfectly capable of building the patio. He priced out all the materials needed, and I got estimates from local contractors. It will be small difference to have the pros build the patio, so we're going that way! They'll have it done in 2 days, where it would take my poor husband about a month of weekends to get it done by himself. And, I don't have to listen to him complain about the gnats! I'm pretty excited, it's going to look great and benefit everyone in the house for years to come!

I would have probably picked the house also. But that is because we have gone to WDW, like 18 times in 11 years. In fact, since we just purchased our first house, we are putting off all future WDW trips (as well as other vacations) on hold for at least another year or 2 to concentrate on the house.

It's really hard to give up the Mouse though...

if it's one or the other....HOUSE!!!!! it's where you live,and no vacation memories take the place of a comforting and wonderful home to live in..... I know, b/c I had a small vacay booked for fall,then dh and I decided it was time to renovate our 30 year old (with no updates ever) kitchen. 'Nuff said- I called and canceled. We don't have the money for both at the same time,so I'm planning on paying for the kitchen,then planning my next trip when we have the money. And since I have good grasp of what our costs are,I have a clear timeline for both things,just not at the same time!
BTW,the cm on the phone did say " Oh,why cancel? it's such a nice trip you've planned...." yeah,I know it was nice, so what? I am going to ENJOY and LIVE in that kitchen soon....I can't wait!
Don't think a vacation will take the place of that porch the other 358 days of the year...b/c it won't!

My neighbors built a screened in porch and they LOVE IT!! They get a lot of use out of it, I know you will as well. Wise choice.

Besides, on your next trip to the Mouse, get a little something to put in your new porch!
