Mouse found in Room!!

I would have to request another room. Every time I would walk into the bathroom I would remember the mouse. Gross! About a year ago when I was planning our trip to WDW, I came across a thread about snakes in the rooms. I knew it was rare but decided to call and ask for an upper room.My family thought I was nuts! I just didn't want to take a chance about thinking of the snakes and ruining the magic while we were there. We were on the 2nd floor and I never gave it a thought.

Issues with rooms can always occur no matter what level of the resort, even at GF.
So, the real issue is how we and hotel managment handle those issues. I believe we always have the right to ask for a new room...even if we don't like the view. It's all in how we approach the front desk...kindness always helps. Keep in mind, they do, if not management wants to make their guests happy.

I applaud your very thoughtful and wise comment!!!!:thumbsup2

There's two possible reasons the mouse died.

Old age, they live 1-2 years in the wild. It could be it's time was up.

Poison, it was looking for water and croaked in the process.

I'd only worry if it were alive and trying to chase me. :scared:

My friend did finally speak with the night manager and they moved her to POR. It was quite an ordeal because the move finally happened at 11:30pm!

EEK!!!!:scared1: Your poor friend!!! I hope she didn't move any mice in their lagguage to POR because we always stay at POR!! :) I don't like mice, snakes or bugs!

:scared1: That is why I try to avoid the value resorts. I had a friend stay at the allstars a few years back and she said that the room was dirty and over the course of the stay a lot of bugs were discovered:eek:

I have stayed at the All Stars 3 times, twice in 2008, and never found the rooms less than spotless. Which just goes to prove that stuff like dead things in your room is a huge exception at any resort. I'm not doubting your friend's experience, just saying it is NOT the norm!

You can also have less than stellar treatment from the staff at any resort. I had the worst problems with a CM at POR. Which also goes to show that you cannot upgrade yourself away from any possible problems.

Stay where you want, and try and deal with any problems that pop up while you are there. No single resort has constant problems, and no one resort is immune.

I can't believe they didn't move her- or charge for additional occupancy....

80 years ago Walter Elias Disney, a struggling cartoonist saw a mouse scurry across the room.

Instead of calling room service, or leaving. He grabbed inspiration from the defenseless critter, He drew it. He named it. He branded it, He marketed it.

You visited it.
