It seems like I've read somewhere that there is only one place in the Magic Kingdom where they still stitch your name on the mouse ear hats right then, Does anyone know where that is or even if its true? ::MinnieMo

at the store on Mainstreet to the left of Tony's restaurant in Magic Kingdom. I can't remember the name of it right away but walk into MK got to your right near the camera shop --- walk past Tony's restaurant - then the store is right their.

Hopefully, this will make sense!!! :scratchin :hyper2:

I think it's called the Chapeau. It sounds really cool! I'm planning on going there on the first night to get a hat for each family member. :earsboy:

::MickeyMo Thanks for the info. My son and daughter-in-law or going in April. They will be glad to know about the hats.

If they visit Downtown Disney, you can purchase them in the back of the Christmas Shop. They have a stitching department that will monogram articles. Just go first and then pick up when you are ready to leave.

Sir Mickey's in Fantasyland sells the hats and stitches your name on them. Bought them there last February 2005.

Is it tacky to have my daughter wear her Disneyland Ears in Disney World? We bought them when were at DL and they still fit fine and are in good condition. Her name is embroidered on the back and she loves them. We'll buy lots of other new Disney items I am sure....so, is it tacky?

Because of the 50th Celebration, the hat store at the MK changed their thread color, forgive me for not knowing the color (but someone else might!) I got my hat embroidered (sp??) in DTD...it was worth the extra money to make it look a little nicer!

The Days Of Christmas at DTD only does the fine embroidery which is $7 per hat. The other places will do it with the loopy stitch for $2 per hat.

Is there any way to pre-order these so I can have them at check in to sneak into the room? It's MIL and FIL's first trip ever and my kids were upset they didn't get them last trip!

The (both) Mad Hatter shops in DLR do it for free

They used to do it for free at WDW as well until a few months ago. Now they charge $2 per hat.

Does anyone know of a place to get it done free in MK?

The Chapeau use to do it free, but not anymore. I was in there on Saturday and there is now a $2 embroidery fee.

They had a bunch of new Mickey ear styles!!! There were Tink Mickey ears, Color block ears, Tie Dye ears, and Valentine's Ears!!!
