Mount Rushmore anyone??

Planning on going to Mount Rushmore next summer. We have been wanting to go there for so long!
We plan to in my mom's rv (35 foot motorhome).

Has anyone been there and can recommed what to see and do, or where to eat, fun kid stuff?
And has anyone gone in an rv before and can recommend a place to park and stay??

my boss at work went there, he showed me about 70,000 pics, I had ti act intrested, you know raises and stuff. He loves it, but I am more of a steel, concrete and neon type of vaction guy

Yes, as a matter of fact we did. In a 35' motorhome too. It is a great vacation. I highly recommend the Mt. Rushmore KOA. To tell the truth, my parents are there right now. Great pools, nightly entertainment, daily breakfasts, trout fishing, bike rentals, trail rides....it has it all. There are a few must sees....Mt. Rushmoore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park. There is also some tourist trap type places, Bear Country, Reptile Garden and The Flinstone Amusement Park (don't waste your money at the Flinestones). The Badlands are close too....pretty cool to see. Lots of nature. Great hiking trails and lakes. Lots and lots of wild life to see. Truely a place where the buffalo roam. No steel and glass here.

We are going this summer. Are you going on over to Yellowstone? If so, check out the thread Yellowstone and more thread that I started, it has some great ideas.
I ordered the South dakota vacation guide and it has everything--try travelsd.com We are only staying in the area for one day and the evening before.
After research and great ideas from that thread, we are digging in the Mammouth Site (DS5 will love this), visiting a cave and digging for gold, Bear country, President's slide, and Mt. Rushmore. I know this is a lot, just top choices, I'm sure we'll have to leave something out, but it will be fun!!!
