We're planning for a trip in Nov. and do too much of the time wasting "meet you back at.......". I've heard people at the parks yell into their radio and I thought......how annoying , I'm never going to take those along!! Well now I want to get them too. Has anyone bought the cute Disney ones yet and was it clear? I'm willing to spend a little $ but it has to be clear!! I don't want to be a screamer!! Any info on any brand would be helpful. Thanks!

We did use 2 way radios ALOT on our last Disney trip. They were a Motorola brand, but not Disney. Make sure you get radios with many subchannels. Pick a channel that you think would not be popular. Randon #'s. We used our hotel room number. Channel 13, Subchannel 23. Had no others using this channel. Worked great!! We have a toddler that cannot go on some rides. I would stay off with her and keep 1 radio. Hubby would take a radio with him and keep me posted on how long till their on ride. Then I would know when to start looking for them to come off. Any other questions, let me know!!

We have the motorola with the subchannels and the disney ones. I actually traded one of my mickey ones for the princess ones with a friend of mine. They work perfectly with the motorolas. This year we all going to carry one that way if one of the kids get lost all they have to do is turn it on and tell us where they are.

I dont think the disney ones have the sub channels in it. Without the subchannels you will probably not find a clear channel to talk on being at disney. Nov might not be as bad as the summer, but I would get the sub channel one.

We use our Disney motorola things at the mall, too. If we all go, we split up. This way haubby can get the kids a pretzel or ice cream and I can shop. This way he knows where I am. Of course in the mall, we don't have much of a problem.

I got them as a Christmas present last year, so this will be the first time they are going to WDW with us. I know we won't have a clear channel since I saw so many people with them last year. DD is begging me to get her the princess ones.

the disney ones DO indeed have subchannels! i have a pair and think they're great. we chose a subchannel and used our pair with my sister's plain motorola's no problem :)

and, they are on sale at amazon right now!

We got our Motorollas at Cost Co last year. They have many sub channels. I loved them. The saved us so much frustration, and were fun. One day my hubby got caught in a thunder storm at the pool while doing lundry when I was back in the room with DD who was napping. We chatted the whole hour while he waited for the rain to stop. It was fun. It helpes so much knowing we could split up and find each other with no problems. BIL and SIL were also there, and used a differernt set of Motorolla walki talkies on the same cannel with no problems. It is only good when you both are in the same parks, and even then only in some places.

Get ones with recharable batteries and good clips to hang on your shorts or pants. We both ended up breaking our clips during the trip.

I won't go to WDW or places like it with out them from no on.

Which model motorolas did you use that worked so well? I unfortunately tried audiovox which were WORTHLESS. Thanks! -Dizma
