Can anyone tell me if you can rent motorized wheelchairs in the Theme parks? I know you can rent regular wheelchairs, strollers & such.
Thanking you in advance for your help.

I'm moving this to the disabilities board since it's theme park related and not cruise related.

The short answer is they rent ECVs - also called power mobility scooters in the parks. Those are relatively easy to drive. There is a power control/throttle and a yoke (kind of like bike handlebars) to steer with.

They do not rent motorized wheelchairs (also called power wheelchairs) in the parks. Power wheelchairs are driven with a joystick which controls speed and steering in the one joystick. There are some off-site rental companies that rent them, but they generally will only rent them to experienced users because they are harder to drive.

If you follow the link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread, post #2 of that thread has information about renting ECVs at the parks and at off-site places.

you’re welcome. Hope you have a great trip:wizard:
