Motor Show at MGM - Opening Dates?

I was sitting behind someone at the Indy show on Sat 12/4 who works for Georgia Pacific and had been at a special event for the new show. He said they announced at the event that the opening is January 2005 - I asked him if that was a soft opening or previews or what and he didn't know.

Any news or confirmations for this?

Technically, I think both Soarin and the Lights...Action Stunt Show are supposed officially open on May 5th, when Disneyland starts it's 50th celebration. That said, the Stunt Show is nearly complete and auto stunt testing has been documented so you never really know....check www.wdwmagic.com. They have to most up-to-date info on rumors of that nature.

As far as i know the stunt show is due to open in the spring in time for spring break.

I'm hoping that Motor Cars and Soarin' and Small Word will be opened byour Spring Break trip, March 25 - April 3rd! Pleeeeeeze!

Official opening will most likely be in May 2005 but expect soft opening before that.

I was at MGM on Monday and we could hear them testing the show.
