Motion Sickness

i love 3d rides, but i wont do roller coasters.

But i suffer from real bad motion sickness.

I want to over come this.

What are peoples advice who love rides but get bad motion sickness.

Simpson ride knocked me for 6 i felt terrible after that
Transformers i was ok i had to close my eyes a few times but loved every minute of it, same with harry potter broom stick ride.


Help me over come this tell me how.

Meclazine is what I use...Bonine, Less Drowsy Dramamine, or any generic brand. I take one the night before and then one in the morning.

I get pretty bad motion sickness (just this weekend got sick on twisty, turny roads... I hate those PA roads).

This is my plan of attack:

1. Bonine in the morning (although after reading this thread I'm going to try taking it the night before as well).

2. Liberal applications of Motion Eze before any sick-inducing ride (the stuff stinks, but it works).

3. Ginger gum as needed.

I also make sure to eat something light before riding (bananas are good).

The only ride I got sick on was Star Tours, probably because I forgot the Motion Eze. We rode it again a few days later and I was fine.

We rode pretty much everything at Disney, but only a few things at IOA (Harry Potter, Dragon Challenge, and Spiderman).

Ask your doctor for a prescription for scopolamine patches. You get a three pack of patches, and each patch lasts 3 days. It is the size of a dime, and you wear it behind your ear. It does not fall off if you do water rides or swim. Love the stuff! And it does not make you drowsy.

However, it does not make you braver... lol.

I second the Meclizine. Works great and does not make you drowsy.

I do the same thing. One before bed and then one an hour before you hit the parks!

I can ride everything with no issues. (I still avoid any spinning rides though.)

They work on acupressure, so no meds needed!
