I have a little bit of trouble with motion sickness - not bad - just a queasy stomach if I spin in circles or go up-side-down.

What are the best remedies people have found to avoid this and still get to enjoy all the rides?

Thanks! :goodvibes

DH uses sea bands and, if needed, dramamine (non-drowsy). Many times the sea bands are all he needs. Still, he can only do RnRC once or twice and EE only once. He avoids the tea cups and any carnival type rides that spin only because they aren't his favorite anyway. Good luck!

Dramamine or if I don't have it/forgot to take it I suck on peppermints. That ususally helps.

I don't step foot on WDW property (or any amusement park) without a Transdermal Scop patcg behind my ear. My motion sickness is pretty encompassing, and is brought on by riding just about everything but the dark rides. Sea bands, ginger, dramamine, motion-eaze all did jack squat for me but you may have luck with them.

I tried ginger gum. Not sure if it helped or not, but it gave me something to concentrate on while wishing the ride was over.

I take Antivert (generic name Meclizine) I get the prescription form of it but the over the counter Meclizine is the very same thing, same milligrams (25) and works just as well. I just get it through prescription because it is free with my insurance since it is so cheap to begin with. SO I save a few bucks using my RX card.

I have heard of ppl taking Bonine and Dramamine but I have never taken either of those.

I get pretty motion sick and even taking the meds I still get very queasy on Star Tours and have to close my eyes. I almost got dizzy on Mission Space green and the first 5 times I rode Forbidden Journey (Harry Potter) at IOA I had to keep my eyes closed the whole ride.

Soarin and Test Track are OK for me.

I rode RnR several times and did fine. But I couldn't ride half of that stuff without the meds. I wouldn't even try it.

On our October trip one day I forgot my meds and rode ONE RIDE with no meds and said NOPE I am sitting out the rides for the rest of the day. (I had forgot the meds back in the room)

I have never tried the patches because I don't like trying new drugs if I am unsure they will work. I don't want to try it and have it not work, or worse yet, make me feel bad or sick. So I stick with the Meclizine.

You can ask any pharmacist for it. Like I said, it is over the counter.
