Motion Sickness Question

Star Tours makes me feel green! Also, did fine riding California Screamin' once....tried to ride in 2 times in a row on a slow day and didn't feel too good after the second time.

At Walgreen's you can get the Chewable Meclizine 25 mg tablets, but you have to ask the Pharmacist for them. The Meclizine costs about $10.00 for 100 tablets!!

pills don't work for me, your dr can prescribe the "patch"

long shelf life, you'd probably get enough to last a year or so

each one good for 3 days

no side effects for me other than a rash when i tried to stretch one a few years ago for 5 days

I have not done California Screamin' because DH tried it when DS7 wanted to ride, and said he just about lost dinner ... or is it because I'm a big chicken?

Oh, you HAVE to try Screamin'!! Sit in the front and you'll be fine. I don't seem to get that weightless feeling in the back (darn), but it makes me dizzy back there. Ride in the front and you get all the good stuff and not any of the bad!

Thank you for this information! I will certainly have to go there and ask for these. That is a great price, and at the rate I go through them, it's certainly a deal for me!

Star Tours always does it to me too. But my son loves it so much - I usually will take a dramamine in the morning that I know I am going to go on it with him. I also take dramamine if I plan on driving in the passenger seat for very long and if I want to read in the car... It works for me!

I too suffer from motion sickness on certain rides,

As strange as this sounds, BTTR bothers me in WDW but not in DL.

I noticed that the ride is smoother in DL.

My poor sister. She gets SOOO motion sick!

When she went to DL with me for the 50th (her first trip every), she threw up on the plane the whole time. I felt so bad for her. She has tried just about everything, nothing helps.

The only ride she went on was Winnie The Pooh. and, YUP, you guessed it, got sick! actually I think she might have actually tried Peter Pan also.

I get Transderm Scope (Scopolamine) patches when I fly and when I go to DL or WDW. I have used Bonine also and that works for me also. But I really like the patches. I get a prescription from my doctor for these.

Star Tours kills me and so does Space Mountain, but I am able to ride SM with the patches. I won't try Star Tours anymore. The minute they shut the doors and it feels like the room is pressurized, I'm gone.......
