I'm so stuck this year!!! My mom basically buys everything she likes and I really don't know what to get her. CDs/ books she buys at Asda when she shops, she doesn't really like magazines, she has a ton of jewlellery, she's at Hoar cross hall at the moment so spa stuff is not an option and we own half of yankee candle.

I figured i would take her out for a meal but i would like a gift too. I'm SOOO stuck!!

I now normally go with having flowers delivered for Mothers Day which reminds me I need to do my order!

I always get flowers,choc's+a gift-either a soft toy,ornament etc.
Well a couple of weeks ago Mum was'nt too well so i bought her some chocs+a get well soon teddy,so that also left me stuck as i didn't want to get the same again.
So(don't worry i am geting to my idea :lmao: ),i am still getting her flowers, but i am making her up a beauty basket.I have bought a lovely large wicker basket out of the 99p shop :thumbsup2 +have bought items to go inside,so far i have deoderant,3for2 boots bubble bath, shower gel+body spray(ice musk,blueberry+strawberry),2 scented candles+holders, gel eye mask, loofah, ice cream body scrub(asda),flannel, pink nail varnish, manicure set(99p shop :thumbsup2 ).Hubby was impressed and now wants me to make one up for his mum :thumbsup2.
Although i was'nt impressed when he suggested i get all the stuff+make myself one up for Mother's Day+he will tell the girls he done it+get them to give it to me  (he was joking-i think :lmao: ).x.

Thanks for the suggestions i have thought about maybe flowers, but she works such long days she won't have chance to appreciate them. I've done the basket thing before and it was really nice, but since i cant go out at the moment i cant get the stuff.

Some great ideas there :thumbsup2 I may borrow some of them too, as my mum is very hard to buy for too :)

I've bought my mum a lovely candle plate with three candles & stones from Next & I've got her a bookmark which I had made with mum on.

I will also get her a box of choccies & a plant/bunch of flowers too. :thumbsup2

How about some perfume Emily?

I go with traditional and buy flowers and chocolates . how about a gilft voucher for a facial or beauty treatment? a bit o pampering never goes amiss.l

I tend to get my mum flowers delivered from jane packer, they are just gorgeous :goodvibes I have ordered her the hat box they do and it's great as she's able to re-do it herself. I know she would like a paeony rose for the garden so I may look to see if I can order one of those for her.

I have hinted that I would like a Pandora charm for the bracelet I got for valentine's for my mother's day prezzie. As for my mum I am taking the day off work and taking my mum out for a meal a few days before mother's day as she hates going out on the actual Sunday as it is sooooo busy and sometime only have set menus. It has become a tradtion the last few years that I take a day off work and we have a lovely lunch.

Thanks for the ideas. I will also take my mom out, but maybe not on the actual day.

thanks again :thumbsup2

i usually get wine for my mum and because my MIL has Coeliac disease, I make her up a hamper of all sorts of gluten free things she would never buy for herself.
I thought I was getting a Pandora bracelet for Christmas (DH was told also by my best friend that was what I'd love as well as a million hints) but NO, DH thought a Ds game would be best
If he doesn't buy one for me on Mother's day, I'm just going to go and buy it myself (I know I'm ungrateful) ;)
You know i even sat him down and showed him ALL the Disney charms and everything in about November...... :rotfl:
