Does Mother's Day usually bring in a large crowd to the parks? We're thinking about postponing our trip to the 6-9 of May but I dont know if thats really a good time to go or not.:confused3

Holiday weekends always bring the crowds & I believe they have a huge Mother's Day buffet at the DL Hotel.
So it depends on whether you want to spend Mother's Day at the park or not.
Happy planning :flower3:

They have an extraordinary, albeit expensive, Mother's Day brunch at the DL hotel that we are planning on attending this year. Last year, the theme was Mom's Royal Banquet. Characters and everything.

We can't wait.

We would be leaving the day before Mother's Day, so do you think we'd avoid crowds that way or would they all start coming in during the week?

Mother's Day isn't on a weekday, it's always on a Sunday.......

:headache:  Oh someone help me!!! I just had a moment! Of course. What was I thinking??? HAHA!!! Your so right. Its on the 10th isnt it? For some stupid reason I had it in my head for the longest time it was on the 14th.

Mother's day tends to be pretty crowded, but the weather is great and I don't think there is a slow weekend anymore. I remember six/seven years back there would be entire seasons that were slow, now it seems as the cost goes up, people are even more willing to pay it. I guess we are too.

We went on Mother's day the year before last, and I didn't think it was bad at all as far as crowds go. We have always gone during "slow" when there were no crowds, so that is what I was used to. I had heard that Mother's Day was really busy , so I was bracing myself for it to be really crowded and it wasn't IMO. The following weekdays were actually much worse as a lot of schools, youth groups were there on outings. I was amazed at the lines stretching across the esplanade on Tuesday when we arrived.....Yikes! I loved being there on Mother's Day and would go again if I could. They have tables with carnations on them for all the Moms when they enter, so that is a really nice touch too! :)
