Mother's Day weekend -crowds etc..

we are currently planning a trip for a week in May.

Option 1-w/c 7th ( which is Mother's Day weekend)

Option 2-w/c 14th

Flights are the same cost for both weeks ( which is our main expense)


Therefore-which week to choose?

It doesn't matter. Crowds will be the same for both - nobody gets out of school or work for Mother's day.

You might want to check when the Flower and Garden Festival ends if that will factor into your decision. It's definitely worth seeing.

It's been a couple years but we were there over Mothers Day weekend in 2013. Crowds were fine. As Alesia said they don't increase for MD

And the year we were there for Mother's Day, the weather was spectacular. Have a great trip

We just did Mother's Day this year and usually go in May near those dates. Not much difference in crowds, but overall MK is supposed to be the busiest park that particular day. We went to Epcot and found it to be average as far as crowds go.

We are going mothers day week and can't wait for the Flower and Garden show. The crowd at calendars I have looked at say the crowds are low in the middle of May.

We are leaving NJ on Mother's Day! I am so excited, it's supposed to be a great time of year to visit.

Mothers day is pretty busy at MK, but otherwise WDW as a whole is not super crowded. I've been over that time frame the past 2 years and found it very nice and manageable crowd wise. MK very kindly gives all mothers a flower as they enter on Mother's Day.
