We went over Mother's Day last year. They were giving carnations to all the moms as you enetered the parks. We really enjoyed the Mother's Day buffet at Epcot. It was held in the building which held the Miillenium events. The food was wonderful, the large number of people handled very well and the service was great.

As far as discounts.. perhaps there will be some coming out in a month or so. You can go ahead and make a resevation and have the discount applied when one comes out.

My Mom and I were there for Mother's Day weekend & the week following in 2000, 2001 & 2003 (did the week before in 2002 because AP was expiring). They do give our carnations on Mothers Day, they also have free pictures taken at Epcot (similiar to the MVMCP pictures). Major restaurants require credit card guarantee on Mother's Day. Crowds weren't bad. Weather was hot - low 90's but no rain.

I have a complimentary photograph which was done in ws in France at Epcot on Mother's Day of myself, DD and DH. It is one I really treasure because it is one of the few I have of the three of us together. Also we at the Mother's Day Brunch at the Oddosey Resturant in Epcot and it was wonderful.

P.S. I remember the weather being very hot --if that is any help.

We were there last yeat too. Got carnations upon entering the park as others have mentioned and it was very HOT. I remember hearing that it was unusually hot for that time of year.

Thanks for the info!! I thought maybe it wouldn't be that hot in May. We went last year june 9th and it was terrible. Really humid. Oh well!! Thanks again!! Summerrose:sunny:

We've found it was hot but not unbearable. Not real sticky humid.

We were there for Mother's day weekend 2003, it was very hot, but I loved it. My oldest daughter called me on my cell phone, when she asked where I was, I told her I was on the Monorail, with a view of GF and MK:D . She told me it was 40s and rainy at home in WI. The heat was that much nicer after hearing that news. We had breakfast at Kona Cafe, and Dinner at ESPN. Could not have been a better day:Pinkbounc
We did not go to the parks that day, but the crowds on Monday were not bad. Did AKL, MK and MGM- hit all the big rides at each park. Did use FP a few times, but literally walked out of the candy store on MK Main St to watch the parade pass at 3pm, and had NO ONE standing in front of us. Amazing.
