I am leaving for WDW on Mother's Day with my kids and my parents. I am a single mom working full time and going back to school, w/o my parents help i would not be affording this trip, so I want to say thanks to my parents (especially mom) and i was thinking of using Disney florist to do so.

Should I have flowers sent to the hotel to be there for my mom when she gets there with a Mother's day note?

I know they are expensive, but i thought it would be a great gift only my brother pointed out that since we are only staying for 8 days how do we bring them home at the end of the trip if they are still nice?

Along the same lines...anyone ever have the ears and autograph books sent to the room by Disneyflorist for the kids. I know its $30 but my kids i think will get a real kick out of it.

Any suggestions and tips are appreciated. Thanks:upsidedow

WDW can't have deliveries sent to your room before you check in. But, you can have WDW florist deliver the flowers to your room maybe the day after you check in. This would be a great surprise for your mom!

Ok. Thanks for the advice. I thought they delivered to the room before you got there. My bad. Do you think they'd hold the stuff if it was already paid for at the front desk?

Any ideas on how to get the flowers home afterwards? We're flying back to PA.

You could make a nice gift basket yourself and have it delivered to the room. You could put some nice things she could use to pamper herself. Or how about a spa certificate to SSR spa or the Gf spa. You wouldn't have to worry about flowers dying or transporting. Spending alot on flowers seems kind of silly to me. Just my opinion.:flower3:

btw...if you do send something to your hotel, send it via ups 1 week ahead of time. We send a box to our room on every trip. It is delivered to your room at check in.

I like the idea mentioned about the spa gift certificate.

We too are leaving on Mother's Day! I can't wait. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Thank you for the great idea, Peanut1. I'm looking into the spa idea and it's about the same cost as flowers, only i think my mom will really appreciate the pedicure/foot rub after a few days of walking Disney much more than flowers.

Have a great trip Hogue123! Hopefully we have great weather for the trips!

Thanks again!:cool1:

I called my bro about it, and he and i split the cost of the spa pedi treatment at Saratoga Springs!:) So thanks for the advice!

Heres the GREAT news....my bro booked it for 2. I was like what your getting a pedi? He said No, i booked it for you! :scared1:

I have the BEST brother in the entire world. :worship: He is paying for me to go back to college and isnt suppose to be buying me any other gifts for holidays, etc...he said i deserve it thou for all I've done for this trip and all i do daily as a mom!

I AM SO HAPPY YOU SUGGESTED THIS!!!!!!!!!!! Now i get to share in it!
:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I hope you and your mom both enjoy your spa experience together. Your mom will love spending some one on one time w/ you in a totally girly setting.:thumbsup2 That will be way, way better that flowers. I think you made an excellent choice. And I agree, you have the best brother ever.
