Mothers day gift....

I had flowers sent to my mom, aunt, and grandma. And then for my moms special gift I ordered her a Cross pen and had in engraved. She had one that she Loved when I was little but I was playing with it and lost the back half. She still used it for years... so now I'm Finally getting her a new one!

We are taking my mother out to her favorite brunch.

I don't want anything. I HATE Mother's day. Hallmark made the holiday up to suck more money out of people. I am lucky that my kids and DH show me they care every day of the year.

Mother's day was founded by Anna Jarvis in Grafton WV in the late 1800's.

My DD shows me she cares most days of the year as well (she is 14 so she doens't care on all days. lol). However it is nice to have a day of recognizition and some pampering.

I'm taking my mom, grandmother, DD and myself to a nice dinner Saturday evening then fixing them breakfast on Sunday morning before they head back to WV. Then we are going to DBF's parent's house for a cookout later that day. DD will probably get me a hanging flowering basket and a book.
