Anyone else going over Mother's Day? We will be there May 7th-14th, with Mother's Day being the 11th. We didn't even really realize Mother's day was during the time we were going to be there until after we decided on those dates.

I did just call though and we made ressies to eat at Teppan Edo at Epoct on Mother's Day. We easily got a 6:00 ressie for four people, which I was excited about because we are already past the 180 day and I thought a lot of the times would be grabbed up. In fact the lady kind of made fun of me for calling so early:confused3

Anyways, for any of you going at the same time, where/what time are you eating? Did you have trouble getting the ressies you wanted?

We've been to WDW on Mother's Day the last 4 years - this year we won't be there then as we are going on an extended family trip in July...I will definitely miss it!

I never had any trouble getting reservations for anywhere for Mother's Day - but one thing I can't recommend enough to you is the Mother's Day Brunch at Epcot. They don't open this up until March or so, but when you see it on allears or call WDW-DINE and ask - book it!! Last year they had a Pirate and Princess theme. They have characters and coffee in the check in area (last year it was Jack Sparrow and Pirate Mickey and Princess Minnie) and then all the stations are decorated inside. They have fantastic food - interactive stations - and a big table where kids can go and decorate cookies.

It's a little expensive ($50/adult or 2 TS credits) but well worth it.

Just for readers who have the DDE card - Mother's Day is considered a blackout day.

I don't consider that a "major holiday" but DDE thinks differently.

We went to WDW this past May 8-15th (over mother's day)...a VERY last minute decision...2 weeks prior!!...I was VERY surprised that I did not have any trouble booking our ADR at Whispering Canyon Cafe for Mother's day dinner at 7:45pm (we always eat a rather late dinner). I figured that that would be the only day that I would not be able to get an ADR with such short notice. By-the-way...the crowds were very light (at least in my opinion)...we were at the Magic Kingdom ON mother's day and it was very "do-able"...most rides were only 15-20 minute waits. Have fun and EAT MUCH!!
